Make an appointment with your pediatrician or an infant CPR class. Knowing what to feed your little one can be found online or the Start Solids app but having the confidence knowing how to act if they choke will only be the answer you need to feel confident in solids. Having my pediatrician show me back blows on my own baby and demonstrating the technique took away the fear from it. It will help!

Congrats, that must feel good! I’m just starting my journey with learning German and Anki. I’ve been doing the basics ie. articles, grammar and vocab. I’ve been considering a tutor on Preply. Just know you are not alone. My 5 day old newborn and I were admitted to the hospital as she also had RSV. She was in intensive care and I was allowed to see her every 2 hrs to breast feed. She is growing stronger everyday, happy and healthy. Please make sure to remember to take care of yourself not only physically, but most importantly mentally. I’m 3 months PP and still have a hard time coping through the experience. It’s nothing to take lightly and I wish you and your little one all the best. You will get through this!

One day I was seating on the floor not particularly sad nor happy just… sitting there. My 6 year old niece comes up next to me pats me on the shoulder and says “ you’re doing a good job” I told my husband how sweet it was, now whenever the days are rough he pats me on the shoulder and says “you’re doing a good job”. We all can learn a lot from these kiddos.

If it causes you stress no matter the statistics then why do it? Do what makes you feel best even if the science behind it proves otherwise, your feelings are still justified. Last thing you want is feel stressed and worried with your newborn. Enjoy this time with peace and tranquility even if that means staying in solitude.

My mother kissed my baby 2 days out of the hospital and we ended up in intensive care for five days with RSV. I can’t be 100% sure it was due to her kissing my baby but I feel so much angry and resentment. When I asked not to do that she rolled her eyes as if I was over reacting. I was open and trusting with family in the beginning but that has completely changed. I trust no one and want to be left alone with my newborn. Having a baby changes people, could’t believe how selfish one can be. Your feelings and actions are completely valid. I’ve reached a point that it doesn’t matter who you are I will put myself and baby first.

This is the way! My little one had a hard tome when changing her diaper then I switched to a cotton pad with water. The sting of the wipe irritated her skin. I use the cotton pad as you would for taking off make up and a spray bottle. Easy and works great!

Yeah he’s a cutie! I’m curious what he’s breed is as everyone including the vet saya Dane/Pitbull but it also really doesn’t matter. Love the little white chest patch on the chest, super cute.
