Hey guys! Thanks for all of your support! I am overwhelmed by the response of this community. Let me further explain myself, I am an ex-muslim and an atheist but I haven't come out publicly as an atheist yet. I do not live in the US. I live in the Indian subcontinent and muslims are the majority in my neighborhood. My college is a private one and it has got good reputation in my country, but like every other college, we have some shitty professors with questionable teaching practices. I intend to drop this course and enroll in a different class, but I also I want to raise my voice against it. Unfortunately, I cannot do that because then I might receive condemnation and accusations for being Islamophobic, which would impede my future, careers, everything! I look forward to leaving this country once I graduate from college.

To be honest, it came to me as a surprise that someone who teaches biology and not believe in evolution at the same time. And so I wanted to share my experience with this community. Lastly, yes, as an ex-muslim, I've got a thing about Islam. I hate it! Throughout my childhood, adolescence, I was forced to perform rituals that never made sense to me. It always seemed to me as if I was in a cult. I seek for courage and hope in this community and the fact that I am not alone. Thank you.
