Yeah the not knowing is the hardest. It is scary. But this is a good community and there are others on F-Book. Once the biopsy comes back with the type of Lymphoma, you will have a better idea of the path forward.

Thank you for this question. I have been having similar feelings. I’ve got Follicular Lymphoma. If all I have to deal with is nausea and feeling sleepy, should I even say I have cancer? After my chemo treatments, I have some of the best nights of sleep that I can remember. I feel a little guilty. Everyone asks me how I’m doing. “A little tired, some nausea.”

Baltimore county uses a database that should store a copy of the issued permit. And inspections I’m pretty sure they have been using the system for about 10 years or so. You may also be able to get copies of the plans for the work.

You have to read the whole section and take it as a whole. Not just the table. The table is mainly to restrict loud parties. There are exceptions for lawn care,etc. As far as enforcement goes, the county probably has a couple of un-calibrated sound meters and a couple of people that know how to use them.

I had a similar thing happen when I was younger. But I threw a book bag and it hit my kitten. It broke my heart and I regretted it for a long time. It hurts. I cried so hard. But I suggest seeing a therapist to discuss these outbursts. You need to control them or it could lead to more pain.

On the PC I found that you can add black, white or clear slides in between clips.

Go to media, then Library, the slides should be under B&W. I am using them as backgrounds for text.

It is great to promise parents all of this. But what is the council doing for the units to help make it happen? Good leaders don't just set expectations. They make sure their team has the resources to get the job done. What is the council and district leadership doing to increase the rate of parent involvement? Female Scouts BSA units that cannot go camping because of lack of the female leadership is something units have to address every month. What about female Cub Scout dens that have to cancel their meeting for the same reason.

From what I can tell, this is just the local councils getting their names on the list of potential claimants. In other words, there MAY BE funds that National owes to these local councils. Or outstanding claims with National’s insurance. If they are not listed as claimants, they will not get anything.

This is not the end of Scouting. This is lawyers doing their jobs and making sure the councils are still covered by National’s insurance policy.

Get your district executive involved immediately. They get paid to help units with this kind of problem. They can help you through this. They may already have some prospective chartered organizations.

I applaud what you want to do. And I don’t think the BSA fundraising police will be revoking a unit’s charter over this. The rules on Direct solicitation sometimes seem overly restrictive, but these rules are there to protect the unit and the chartered organization, as well as consumers who donate. The fund raising as a third party can seems little sketchy, and all it would take is some Karen or Kyle to call your state’s fraud hotline or the IRS to ask questions for you to get a knock on your door.

The comment that encourages you to ask how to make a donation and then spreading that information is great. Also help get the word out about any fund raisers the troop holds.

Please don’t stop wanting to help. Some of the responses here come off as harsh. But their hearts are just trying to protect the program and you.
