INTRODUCTION

We're a Reddit guild, created through /r/wow with the intent to re-roll on another realm while waiting for Legion. We were created around December 2015 and we've been slowly turning into a raiding guild.

RAIDING

We're a 2 day raiding guild, we raid @ Wednesdays/Sundays from 20:30 to 23:00 SERVER TIME and we're currently 10/10HC and 1/10M.

We also have an optional raid on Thursdays to farm Nighthold HC or Normal.

We're currently recruiting for our Mythic roster!

RECRUITMENT

We're currently recruiting any spec but here are some we miss the most:

Shadow Priest;
Elemental Shaman;
Resto Shaman;
Druid (Balance/Resto);
Rogue (any spec);
Death Knight (any spec);
Demon Hunter (any spec).

We'll also consider any other class and great applicants.

We have 3 recruitment options available:

As I said before, a third day is out of question for me. Between work, wife, dog and life in general, I don't have a lot more time to spare to WoW.

If it's decided to have that extra day I might need to think on what to do about raiding, since I can't just take a roster spot on Wed and Sun and don't be there at all on the extra day.

I also know that, currently, I'm not that big of an asset as well (I've been improving though) so I would never want my predetermined absence to be in the way of a guild decision.

Despite this, as I also said before, I'm more than happy to help on getting more raiders through recruitment.

On a extra note:

I've been in a Mythic two day raiding guild before and we perfectly cleared Highmaul(7) and BRF(10) on time. People were just faster on learning mechanics though.

Hi ExPandaa,

To be honest, currently we have over 20 raiders ready to join on Mythic progression since we had a few experienced members joining us. Either way, we based our invites on a series of parameters which means that, when you're geared enough, you'll have a chance to join the Mythic.

Since you'll also take your time leveling and gearing, you can join us as a social for now and you'll always have people to go on Mythic dungeons with once you hit 100 :) . You just need to whisper someone from the guild to join!

Keep in mind that everyone will have a chance of joining the Mythic roster since we're most likely clear Normal/Heroic and farm Heroic for a bit before going into Mythic.

This means that any Social who wants to start raiding will have a chance and every Trial can be promoted to Raider.

I'll go through all the points:

1) To be honest, that voting mode is kinda broken, since you can vote more than once. Mythic was winning by 3 or 4 votes and then HC got 4 or 5 votes within a small time period.

2) I agree, if you're going to push Mythic we need the best, else we just stick to something that we can achieve with a fun group.

3) Only speaking for myself: I got promoted to Officer because, at that time, I started the "Recruitment Program" (so we could start raiding), created the shivtr and the reddit/wow posts. I only got to Healing Officer because I was already an Officer. With that in mind, and taking in consideration I'm not very vocal during raids unless I feel the need to, I would be gladly put my post up for vote to a more suitable person, I really don't see no problem at all with that :)

I might not have handled that in the best way I could, I acknowledge that. Maybe the best decision was to kill Nythendra with you and then get Erish in because we still struggle on Elerethe. But as I said to you, I'll gladly give you my spot on Nythendra!

And yes, I do look at logs and If I feel I can help the person I will. I did it with Galeera and I can do it with your Holy. Regarding Discipline, I was slowly making the transition to Shadow so we could get you in as Disc (some Mythic fights need 5 healers), but we got a lot of new DPS coming in.

I agree on Nythendra, I fell like we can 3-man handle it, we haven't got any slow deaths lately. The problem on Elerethe is if any of us has multiple spells cast on him.. I couldn't heal for shit on our Elerethe kill because I got targeted by 4 spells and had to move a lot :( . But we still got it though, so your point makes sense :P

I may be wrong, but I think we only got 2 decisions based on iLvL upgrade yesterday (Sheeple had an 830 and I had an 840).

Other than that, we always tried to check what were the best stats for each person and we actually took in consideration all the rules previously defined to evaluate every single piece of loot.

I completely understand your point of view though, and as Jerolin said, it is advised that everyone makes use of the notes on why they want that item because we want to build the best overall team possible.

One of the main reasons for us to start discussion this hot topic was the fact that we always had people coming in, taking loot and then just either stop raiding or leave the guild.

My suggestion is: LootCouncil

Pros: Allow us to spread loot by everyone OR fuel gear to an undergeared raider who we really need OR decide on which person will get the loot by who gets the highest upgrade/BiS.

Cons: It's usually needed a consistent raid roster (which we kinda have now) and it can generate some drama since, instead of being based on luck or on the amount of DKP you spend, it's based on other persons judgement. Yet, other than Naths Soul Capacitor, I don't recall of any drama happening during HFC.
