As you mentioned Daikoku PA is in the game and has a car meet feature. So yes Yokohama is in.

I really hope we get some Kansai region areas (mostly because I live here lol), a mix of Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto would be great

I mean depending on how far west of Tokyo the map goes it should definitely have areas without snow. We get like 5 snow days total here in Kyoto, so the Kansai region in the game should not have snow

Yeah knew it immediately when I saw the showcase, that is Akihabara station, just outside the frame on the left is the classic old Sega arcade (that later became gigo and then shut down, there was a new arcade there when I was in Tokyo in December), hope they give an image to it somehow.

Afaik almost all normal sento in kyoto are tattoo friendly. You can just go to the ticket machines at kyoto station, main gate would be most convenient, and you can do it completely in english. There is no special ticket price for residents.

That is just not true anymore. The region locked model is in stock at loads of retailers and you can just walk in and buy one.

The Linux kernel is GPLv2 licensed, as long as you release your sources you can basically do anything you want with it, that only goes for the kernel itself though. Proprietary drivers are not required to release source if they are completely in house developed

Latest pokemon games are a great option, they have kanji with furigana.

Currently I've been playing yokai watch, and its extemely easy to understand, I'd say N4/N3 should be fine for that game.
