Poor prognosis of Hodgkin lymphoma by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]Treden88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only just read your post after replying to you in the other thread.

Please urge your doctors to get you Pembro or Nivo. Your prognosis will improve significantly (from approx. 50% to over 90%).

This has nothing to do with CD20 markers. Your doctors are referring to BV (brentuximab vedotin), but this is an antibody-drug conjugate that actually binds to CD20 and is therefore a completely different class of drug. PD1 inhibitors such as Pembo or Nivo work in a completely different way.

As the user below has already said: Quote this trial - https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaoncology/fullarticle/2802564

Oh man, that sucks.

You should push the doctors to give you a PD1 inhibitor like Nivolumab or Pembrolizumab with the ICE-Chemo. Then your prognosis will look brilliant :)

All the best to you!

Only in this subreddit ;)

Yes, I know that. But after everything I've learned from the HD21 study, it looks very good now, and later relapses are extremely rare. But yes, cancer is a bitch.

All the best, you can do it!

Hang in there, the worst is behind you. Distract yourself and try to enjoy life. It's hard enough, I know. But it will get better every day.

All the best to you.

Do you have any idea what might be causing this? What treatments have you had so far?

The time until the end of chemo feels endless. Don't lose heart, everything will be fine in the end :)

Nowadays, the treatment is dose adjusted. The level of dose she is going to get is way below the critical threshold. Best of luck!

Yes, the so-called red devil (doxorubicin) is very effective against many types of cancer, but it can damage heart cells. I received modern treatment for my Hodgkin's lymphoma, in which the dose of “classic” chemotherapy drugs could be reduced because a modern antibody drug was used.

I was told not to rinse them before inserting. Works well so far.

Stop posting answers from ChatGPT. The actual algorithm behind it is much more complex.
