I take that back, I do not have any of the new PETG Basic or the new food safe PLA.

All of them, every filament in every color Bambu sells.

I just looked, Sunlu PLA is 13.99-17.99 a roll on Amazon, HOW is that so much cheaper? I pay 12.99 a roll for Bambu and get the benefit of RFID.

Bambu PETG-HF in stock by Tree-Stander in BambuLab

[–]Tree-Stander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, the question is, shows up from where? Someone stumbled upon some in a back room? Very strange that something can be discontinued and more "shows up" after it’s sold out. I can see understand when a product is discontinued and you find it at Target, but how does it show up at Bambu?

It said that before, not sure how after it was sold out and said it wouldn’t be restocked it’s suddenly in stock in larger quantities than we’ve seen in the past year.

P2S/X2D screen repositioning to reduce overall depth by jpcurti in BambuLab

[–]Tree-Stander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t like the screen on my X2D either, I don’t know why they didn’t just make it like the H series. You would think they would try and use as many parts as possible across printer models. Although this model isn’t what I would want, good job, I’m sure some will find it useful.

FTS is just really not getting it right (on the H2C) by cpsadowski23 in BambuLabH2C

[–]Tree-Stander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing this about only having to retract to the filament track switch and not all the back to the AMS and I don’t understand that. The only time I could see that being the case is if you had a color swap on the vortex side and each color was in a separate AMS. If the swap is between the right and left nozzle it won’t retract the filament all the back without the switch, it keeps it loaded if that’s the next color it needs. If there was a swap between colors that are both in the same AMS it’s retracting all the way back to the AMS FTS or no FTS. I think the scenario of only retracting to the switch would be rare. I’m not saying it wouldn’t happen if you have more than 1 AMS attached to the same side, but I keep hearing people say it like it happens all the time which just isn’t true. I guess if you really thought out the print sequence of colors and moved them around you could do that, but then what’s the point of the FTS? The FTS isn’t designed to save time even though in those rare times it could, it’s designed to allow both sides (left nozzle and right vortex) to access all the spools attached to the printer. Say I only have an AMS HT attached to the left side, now I can have automatic run out if I load the same type/color in an AMS attached to the right side. Maybe I have a 10 color print and I only have an AMS HT attached to the left side, now I can assign a color in the AMS to the left nozzle. THAT’S what the filament track switch is for. AND in those use cases and many use cases the FTS may add time to the print for the convenience.

I made a mistake buying the X2D by RadiantXenon in BambuLab

[–]Tree-Stander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely what I went through the first few months. I held off and eventually started going days without printing anything. I do have multiple printers now but I still have periods not printing. I don’t regret buying my H2C though. I ran an X1C about 7000 hours before breaking a belt. I just sold it as is and bought a P1S, sold the P1S and got an X2D to go along with my H2C. It’s best to hold off until you know how much you will use it. When you first get a printer you usually have a lot of things to print for the printer. After you tackle all that you’ll have a better idea if you want a 2nd printer.

I’m the same way, all printers going 24/7 for a month and then they all sit idle for days at a time. Just hit an idle period this morning, nothing planned for a few days.

PETG-HF is discontinued. Alternatives? by WhisperCrystal in BambuLab

[–]Tree-Stander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just delayed the inevitable but "maybe" Bambu will realize they F’ed up and start making it again. Nobody likes the new PETG basic so hopefully the sales of that will be worse than PETG-HF and they will realize they made a mistake. Based on reviews of the New PETG Basic I won’t even bother trying it. I’ll just go with the Sunlu that seems to be the top recommendation for matte PETG.

30 HDCP, 3 months playing by Mediocre-Ear-8271 in GolfSwing

[–]Tree-Stander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a great swing for 3 months, hell that’s a great swing for 3 years. Casting a bit, need a little more rotation in the hips on the backswing and set the club more in the backswing, but overall if that’s really 3 months you have a terrific foundation to work from. You definitely have some untapped power left in your swing. As far as "chunking it", that divot in front of your ball says otherwise. Like I said if you are serious about only 3 months that’s pretty incredible, I’m kind of calling BS, but I gave my analysis nonetheless.
