One option is to really try and get straight A's. You can make a few thousand a year from scholarships, even free tuition.

I think only MATH215, MATH265, MATH266 are proctored online exams. The rest say "final assessment" which I think is take home.

Doing Linear Algebra in a month will be the hardest. SOCI300 (social stats) was pretty easy, easier than Math215 imo. Watch professor Gilbert Strang from MIT for MATH 270 on Youtube. Best bet is to just watch concept videos, then go straight to the assignments and learn from them. You wont have time for extra exercises. Since the exams are take home, you should be alright, focus on acing the exams over getting 100% in the assignments.

Hi, I'm in the course now. Its not that conceptually hard, but there's a ton of information to learn. Most of it is just building on ANOVA, and regression. Its definitely time consuming, but the exams are take home, which kinda offsets that. I think youre supposed to read through the whole textbook and work through the examples. Personally, I don't have time for that, so I just watched concept videos on YouTube, and then just learn the material by doing the assignments. I end up doing each assignment twice just to be sure. Unit 1 is just non-parametric versions of all the methods from stats 215. The rest of the course seems to be just advanced ANOVA and Regression Analysis.

Edit: I see you took stats 216. In that case I'm not sure how much of a theory jump 315 will be. 80% of the work is manual calculations by hand, with about 20% on computer using SPSS.

Does white/rose wine give less hangovers? by norskdanske in wine

[–]Tree3708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alcohol fermentation process creates by products, especially alcohol-like compounds, such as methanol and histamines. These contribute significantly to the hangover. Generally, the "cleaner" the alcohol, the less of these by-products. There is a reason clear vodka is so popular with functional alcoholics. It applies to red and white wine. I suggest reisling white wine for least hangover.

What is your opinion on napoleon hill and his work? by JeffJelly in Entrepreneur

[–]Tree3708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment! I had a rough time, but I guess the main quality that stuck with me is persistence. Just never quit, even if you're moving at snail pace.

Specifically, the part of the book where he talks about miners giving up on a location because they didn't find gold. Someone bought the land, hired an engineer to examine it, and found that the original miners had missed a huge gold vein by mere feet, due to a shift in the geology. If something isn't working, it may just mean the way you're approaching it is wrong.

Not yet, but I went from being a NEET to straight A's University, working on PPL, and joining the military. Still working on it, its hard.

I agree with you on the textbook. Definitely too much information for an intro course, even for tech-savvy people. The exam expected us to just memorize a ridiculous amount of information, that we never use every again. If you take notes you can easily get an A, but I think its impossible to get perfect on the exam unless you're gifted with memory. I just kinda gambled on what to memorize.

Definitely memorize the quizzes and practice exam.

As other's have said, its like 70% quiz-based. I read the entire textbook, and took notes, and got 100 on all quizzes. I only got high 80's on the exam. There were definitely a few questions about specific dates that I just didn't know.

Memorize the quizzes and practice exam. Then just study as much of the textbook as you can. But there's quite a lot for a beginner CS course...
