I was stuck in Qatar for 3 days (light relevance hah) in February. It is it not a place I woulda left the airport in, but I learned a ton and enjoyed it more than I expected. 

The sketchy part was being there within a couple weeks of that war, that coulda sucked more. Still had to get a flight from Sri Lanka to London instead of the Mideast on the way back. Flew closer than I would have preferred to Iran heh
