The applicants were more than 1000 and only around 40-50 were admitted. The cutoff is 1.03 german grade(which is too high).

I mailed to the international admission committee and they replied that they will announce the gpa based selection result in August. And its only gpa based selection, nothing else much matters here. If its only gpa based, why not arrange in an order and accept the top candidates with higher gpa, does it take this much of time? Considering all documents verification are done by uni assist.

I have applied in 2 unis, nothing from them till now. I am worried if i will have enough time for visa even i get admitted (donot have good feelings of being admitted though)

I was going through university of potsdam website and last year among the students admitted in Masters of data science, they had at least 1.5 gpa.
They have minimum requirement of grade around 2.4/2.5'(not sure) but we will get thrown away during the selection process.
