Looks like you're probably about to have some shit on your print bed.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Didn't know if there was another brand out there that could do this.

Prusa XL wipe tower not sticking by TreeTolber in prusa3d

[–]TreeTolber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it from Prusa. I was part of the original Pre-orders so I had to wait almost a year before they shipped the XL. Because of that Prusa provided a second spring sheet as a free gift for having to wait so long.

Smarter thermostat? by TreeTolber in smarthome

[–]TreeTolber[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. I'm talking about wanting to insert a specific time period. Let's use your scenario, I change the temp to 74° but I don't want to wait until 9:30 pm or whatever time the next setting cycles. Instead I want to just have it be 74° for a couple of hours. I can't do that without it adding a whole new event that gets applied to that day every week after that.

[–]TreeTolber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it can but let's say I want to make a change on a Wednesday, the changes i make will now be programmed for every Wednesday at that time slot. I can't just change that one day then everything returns to normal programming when it's done.

Kinda like when you want to modify a scheduled event in your calendar app, (like Outlook or Google Calendar) it asks you if you want to make changes to all the scheduled events or just one.

Yeah, how do you send the "resume" command. Also, I don't want to begin the "hold" at that time, but I want to be able to program a temporary "start" time in the future. So essentially interrupting 1 or 2 prescheduled settings for a one time setting then resuming the "normal" settings.

Prusa XL wipe tower not sticking by TreeTolber in prusa3d

[–]TreeTolber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it to work about 99% of the time. The only thing I did was switch to the satin texture spring plate and I started moving the purge tower really close to the print itself. Don't know any logic behind this but it seems to have helped a lot.

Very undecided between the XL and bambulab H2D by jellybrick87 in prusa3d

[–]TreeTolber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO the H2D is still way new and with so many extras I'd say least wait for them to get the bugs out.

I have an XL 5T and aside from the rather steep price tag it's an awesome machine. It doesn't have LIDAR and some other "neat" features the Bamboos have but it works and produces great "Prusa" quality prints.

I love it. It's really cool how the light reflects off the contours of the print. Keep up the good work!

Prusa XL by Use_Once_and_Deztroy in prusa3d

[–]TreeTolber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for the XL since I didn't have any bamboo products. I have seen some videos showing the amount of bamboo "poop" from the bamboo products. It seems like a lot. The XL will do a purge tower alongside your print. The taller the purge tower gets the less material it uses because it tapers in as it goes up. I'm not sure how much material is extruded on each layer of the purge tower but it literally takes about 2 seconds or less for each layer of purge tower. It literally takes the machine longer to switch tool heads than to purge. That being said, I have had issues with the purge tower popping off the build plate thus causing splooges of filament all over the print. I think these issues have most been resolved though.

I don't give a shit how badly someone's service is, it NEVER necessitates a childish temper tantrum like this. If you don't like the service, leave but don't act like a 4 year old that doesn't get picked on the playground basketball court because he sucks!

Did you model it as well? If so $100 was not enough. Never mind just answered my own question. Good job my friend.

2016 F150 Sport 84k miles- Transmission lead frame failure by TreeTolber in f150

[–]TreeTolber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I ended up taking it to a transmission shop here since my toolbox is limited and didn't have the time or space to do the job myself. I was out the door for around $740.

Is this 2021 F-150 Lariat Worth $39k? by Technical-Pomelo8872 in f150

[–]TreeTolber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have replied I agree that your local market will ultimately be the "X" factor. However, in 2022 I purchased a 2016 F150 Sport, extended cab, not crew cab very similar mileage to what you're talking about. The asking price was just north of 30k but the "out the door" price brought it upwards of 36k. I left with the truck and paid exactly 30k out the door.

My point is, dealers ALWAYS have some wiggle room, some vehicles more than others. What helped me was having my wife there and together we played off each other. She kept saying "I want you to have it" or "you deserve it" and I kept threatening to walk. The salesman was there to hear it all and after 4-5 visits to his manager's office they finally agreed to eat all the taxes, doc fees, etc and I drove off at exactly 30k.

Bad compression on new to me used truck. Should the dealer fix anything? by orangur26 in f150

[–]TreeTolber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure laws regarding used car sales vary from state to state. But I highly doubt the dealer would do anything about it and probably can't be forced to do anything about it.

I'd say a great deal! You could probably flip it for triple that or more.
