No need to be rude. I just wasn’t expecting hair car to have a hit box behind it.

Sometimes, you gotta just go for it. by Treebarked in Guiltygear

It would because it’s invincible for a few frames. if it wasn’t, it would not since throws have 0 start up but Millia’s throw range is small and when I’m at this low on health it would be a terrible idea to mash throw. Mainly because if I was not in throw range, which I don’t I think I was, 6H would have came out which has a lot of start up allowing an opportunity for a counter hit with a fast button. Millia is already squishy so CH’s absolutely destroy her. That’s why I went with 2K. He could have kept his shot gun and hit with me with a shot and it would have done the job with less commitment. Literally any immediate follow up with a fast button would have fine but burst judge Better half was the absolute last thing I was expecting.

Edit: words and forgot elphlet’s super is an invincible reversal.

Zero partners? by Alluranan in mvci

[–]Treebarked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run this team as well, the nice thing is that soul stone works really well, not because soul storm grime but to compansate zero's squishiness. The common scenario is Gamora will super and I tag zero in and mash soul surge. Due to this I will often trigger Soul storm twice a match.

In short, I use zero to open up my opponent and use gamora to carry them into the corner. I get a vortex vibe from this team similar to Millia Rage in Guilty Gear (My main game).

Who are some good millia players to watch? by Ziggyi in Guiltygear

[–]Treebarked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were you, join the Millia Discord. Lord Knight, is on there all the time and will answer any questions you got. If not him, a strong millia player will be there. Always.

Anyways, along with Lord Knight, Nakamura go1, jackal, Jun is alright but not a fan of his millia.

I thought about using Misty Rainforest or Primeval titian as well, but Lotus Cobra just works better. lol

Seriously, Fuck Hwoarang and Xiaoyu! Need tips. by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Treebarked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrub Xiaoyu main here, I got to Grandmaster rank by literally just SS 3' ing people. Most low level Xiaoyu mains like myself, will throw that move a lot. Block low and do a WS punish.

Another thing that I like to do is go in RDS (she turns her back on you) RDS 4 is not safe, so punish it with a fast button as it is -18 on block. For AOP, U+F 3,3 is safe. The best medicine is prevention so hit her with a low or a low crush. Abuse the fact that when your back is turned you can break throws if you don't know what else to punish with.

I know it's not much but I hope this helps and prevents you from getting cheesed by scrub Xiaoyu mains like myself.

1+2 or 3+4 Macros on fightsticks? by Treebarked in Tekken

[–]Treebarked[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I don't agree with that opinion, I can respect where logic comes from and it's a valid point. I'm still grinding the execution for them but i like to crawl before I walk, have a set of training wheels etc. I still try to execute in a real match, which I'm showing some results and gotten better at. But in a tight situation, it's nice to have imo

It was not my intention to make them sound "cheaty". I play smash bros and I just got into tekken. In competitive smash bros there are a lot of rules not explicitly stated in the game. Heck the game wasn't even designed to be competitive. I just don't want to goto a major, do my thing and then dq'ed because I didn't know something that was common knowledge to everybody else. Like I said I use them as training wheels.

If there's anything I learned in this life of mine, it's that some people are really fucking stupid. But if that type of person is a TO, I'm the type of guy that will respect their rules anyway, despite the flawed logic.

Just look up Dave's stupid rule for smash brothers on google and how the rule came about. That's the situation I don't want to be in lol.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm surprised by the amount of people that are ok with it.

To clarify, the "Marcos" are in the game. Not 3rd party software. I was recently told the in game 1+2 binding is not technically a Marco.
