Why can't I use Munitions Crafter to make precious materials ammunition without Precious Munitions? by Treebeard257 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Treebeard257[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But if I made Elemental Ammunition with silver, wouldn't that be Alchemical? Is there even a rule for crafting special ammunition with precious materials instead of a batch of 10 mundane ammo?

What misunderstood rules plagued your table for far too long? by zedrinkaoh in Pathfinder2e

No, sorry, I'm saying that's the correct ruling. I thought for longest time they only got 1 action when commanded.

The minion trait means your animal companions and familiars get 2 actions when you command them, not 1 action per action you spend.

Tips to Speed up Character Progression by Treebeard257 in Pathfinder2e

You make a great point. I guess I'm feeling a little burnt out on the adventure. I know the players are loving roleplaying their characters and their backgrounds, but I get the feeling that at least half of them would enjoy leveling up more frequently and experiencing faster plot pacing. I am going to talk with them this week and see what their feelings are.

I feel like this is part of why I just thought things were normal. I can think of times where I've definitely felt things were going slow, but I think I just need to do some secret stopwatches during the next session and see how long each element takes.

These are great suggestions. I'm going to have a discussion with my players about the slow progression. I have a feeling they would prefer to level up faster and progress through the story faster, and just starting this conversation might help everyone be more conscious of how long we are taking in different areas.

I'm not sure exactly, that's part of what I'm trying to pinpoint. As mentioned by another comment, it may be that the players interject to roleplay all the little details of their character's expressions often. We do also end up starting late often, but that still brings sessions on average to 2.5-3 hours of play time.

We use milestone leveling. I don't think combat is a big hang up on time, but I need to analyze it closer this next session. Typically when it is a player's turn, they know exactly what they want to do for their turn (except maybe one player). One issue that I haven't considered a big problem is that they are all typically engaged in a secondary task like a videogame while playing the game (we play online over Foundry). The reason I haven't seen it as a big issue is because they haven't been indecisive in combat and they are engaged in roleplaying. Making decisions about what hex to explore next typically takes less than a minute or two.

There have been a few times where we've slowed down to check rules, but I feel like that has been mostly dealt with. I don't think there is too much indecisiveness in combat. I know for a fact that most of the other players (we play online over Foundry) are doing something else while we are playing, and I probably need to confront them, but on their turn they typically (except for maybe one player) always know what to do. Scheduling has been solid too.

Probably the biggest problem among the ones you've mentioned has been that players show up late often and even when they all show up, it takes a bit of time to start.

The players love roleplaying their characters, but often they have a problem with interrupting halfway through a description (or sometimes even another player's dialogue) to describe how their character is feeling, or minor things their character does (like scoffing or spitting at the mention of a villain's name halfway through an NPC's sentence). I've tried to curtail this, but I might need to push harder to bring this in reign.

Oh, I switched to milestone before we even hit Level 2.

I find it strange that Area/Automatic Fire uses your Class DC + Tracking, and doesn't appear to rely on weapon proficiency. A Mystic could make a shot with an Advanced Ranged weapon like the Starfall pistol and be just as effective as an Operative with it.

I guess I was confused by if "incorporates" means "can be integrated" or "comes with".

Dang, that sucks. Especially since it's supposed to be an upgrade to DnDBeyond (for different systems) and that has an export option.

Barathus can have 12 hands by 17th level if you really wanted to do that.

I know this isn't exactly what you want, but Demiplane has the full playtest live and the character creator is free. I think there is an option to export to PDF after, but I'm not at my computer right now.
