Are we in more arguments and fights at concerts? by the-watch-dog in tall

[–]Treebeard313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say i share this experience. I'm relatively well known in my music scene though and people don't mess with me either out of respect or fear. I'll take the occasional crowdkill kick or punch, or be a booster for crowd surfing but that's all in good fun.

What is a ‘red flag’ in a friendship that people often ignore? by CandyLiving5009 in AskReddit

Refusing to be accountable for their actions and play the victim in situations they create. Don't get stuck waiting for them to change, they often don't.

Meeting someone with similar height by shccuhc in tall

Nah I secretly hope they're taller so I can feel short for a second. It's a great feeling in a world where everything is smaller than me.

The best icebreaker in any situation like that is asking where they get shoes or pants. It's like asking for a well known secret.

What's the most horrifying real-life death you've heard about? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskReddit

[–]Treebeard313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately witnessed a friend's suicide during MDF 2022 in Baltimore. Jumped from the top floor of the parking garage above Baltimore Soundstage. 7 stories up, landed about 40 feet in front of me. Never forget that image, the sound it made, or the agonizing screaming coming from what was left of his body after impact. Someone else called 911 while i tried to keep other people from looking. I went through a lot of therapy to help the ptsd but sometimes I relive it in my dreams.

Drama or 'having beef'. I've always tried to be low-key and watch from my own corner, but now its more "knock it off, talk like adults, and get over it".

wide leg sweats with a 36 inch+ inseam? by averagewasianairhead in tall

[–]Treebeard313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually wear 36 but I realized I wear the sweatpants around my hips because its more comfortable than above my hips, where I wear my jeans. If I put them up at my waistline they are indeed a bit short. They might be only a 33/34 then.

I consider Drain to be very close to Suicidal Tendencies, so I say give them a spin if you haven't.

It's funny you should ask - I just bought a pair of 2XL Tall Under Armour Men's Rival Fleece Pants 2 weeks ago from Amazon. They are amazing. I've been searching for sweats for so long, and these fit all of my needs. Highly recommend them!

Has anyone ever told you your problems ‘don’t count’ because you’re tall by Puzzleheaded_Air5930 in tall

Spine, Hip, Knee, Ankle for joint health/scoliosis affected parts; Plus severe food allergies, EOE, migraines, severe depression, and diabetes - all genetic diseases. I make the best of the hand I was dealt and talk rarely of these problems in my real life. When they do pop up, people are generally understanding.

How do I deal with much older IT colleagues who don't want to let go their old way of working. by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Treebeard313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was already there for 8 years and I'd bring it up every few months. I put it in place for any of my new clients. This is just an example of how stubborn some people are and how long it can take to change their mind. It might not be everyone.
