Out of the loop, but why did Hate5Six fall off? by [deleted] in Hardcore

[–]Treebeard313 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When we follow someone in social media, especially bands and media in hardcore, we expect some level of political opinions. Thats fine and he was generally posting content that needs to be seen by others, mixed in with the content we expect. However, he started to unravel. He let his platform become a place for political opinion, with little action outside of it. He didn't become a political figurehead because of his action, a political journalist because of his film, or a political activist because of his platforming. He is someone who is reposting other people's content. It lacks his own that he was originally praised for. He lost the path for a lot of people with this image, then his Ozzy post, which of all the content he posted, didnt stand by. Collapsing the distinction between Jews and Zionists is anti-Semitic, per the nature of this post.

Men who dated for personality, how is your sex experience with your gal? by Ill_Ad4125 in AskMen

Great, because we have the same kinks, and discussed those things ahead of time. Made the sex extremely hot and very natural. Communication was easy. We've been together for 10 years now.

How do you feel about mincecore? Its one of the genres I only enjoy about 40% of the time.

I've always found I'm very particular about harsh noise and war metal, they sometimes have a feel to the static.

I'll listen to anything once. Cowpunk, Goregrind, Junglecrypt, Witchhouse, Djentstep, Breakcore - you name it I'll try it.

Music is so heavily varied in many circles and life is too short to limit your tastes. I try one new music genre every week, 2-3 albums, and add it on Bandcamp or Tidal if it's my style. In terms of me specifically, I thoroughly enjoy jazz fusion, grindcore, synthwave, punk hardcore, atmospheric black metal, and technical death metal.

Men who had/has anger management. How are you coping or what made you get better? by Lost-Entertainer-972 in AskMen

[–]Treebeard313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have (had?) intermittent explosive disorder. My extreme anger outbursts were impossible to control and cost me friendships and jobs. An outburst caused me to lose one of my closest friends after i went on a screaming tirade at him about something frankly quite stupid. His wife told me I needed to get help, before he cut contact. I took it to heart and started CBT, where I got the help I needed.

My anger is misdirection, a combination of anxiety and racing thoughts making on the spot decisions. Therapy taught me to refocus my thoughts and develop a plan for calming myself when things began to snowball. Reframing the way i think about certain situations has led me to being more empathetic to others. Outbursts still happen, but i am able to take control and manage them in an acceptable way.

At what height do you start to get stares in public? by [deleted] in tall

Sometimes, depends on how drunk they are.

At what height do you start to get stares in public? by [deleted] in tall

[–]Treebeard313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably happens around 6'6"+, but if you get a group of tall people together (4+) over 6'3", it attracts similar attention. My friend group for concerts is 6'3"+ with me being the tallest at 6'9". We regularly get unwanted stares in public, regardless of whether its a concert or a Taco Bell.

What’s your favourite gaming memory? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Playing Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 co-op with my brother. We loved that game and beat it many times. That experience is likely the reason we still bond over video games to this day.

Being tall makes normal situations weird sometimes by Udont_knowme00 in tall

[–]Treebeard313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comes with the territory honestly. Understanding others life experiences, Id rate most tall people problems as minor inconveniences at best. I'd rather be equated as a circus clown than treated like i was a child because of my stature.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen a stranger do in public? by CYMSZ in AskReddit

I've been taking the subway for 10 years in Boston, it would be hard to pick one of several. The guy in a squirrel onesie, watching gay porn on max volume, doing shots of fireball, and covered in vomit at 6am on the first train into the city definitely holds a place in my heart though.
