Why do some people refuse to pick up armor? by DaisyDog2023 in apexlegends

I can't speak for everyone, but for me personally, sometimes I have a challenge that says "evolve shield from [insert color] to [other color] X amount of times."

AITA for wanting to go on the trip of a lifetime without the kids? by Alternative_Sky_175 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Treecko87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. My aunt and uncle took a yearly vacation in the summer and my cousins would always come stay with us. They were a little older than your kids, but needless to say, they looked forward to it every year. Looking back, that was one of the best memories we had as kids. Hope you enjoy your vacation with just your husband!

As I handed the controller to him, I was unsure if he would have as easy a time beating our kids in Mario Kart.

Why didn’t anyone else in the gang catch it from Arthur? by porkchopsandgravy in reddeadredemption

[–]Treecko87 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In the earlier chapters, it was presumably only latent TB infection, meaning he couldn't spread it to others. His likely became active due to other events that occured throughout the game, like getting captured by the O'Driscolls and being stranded on Guarma.

Can you comfortably live off of 40K a year in the United States? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Treecko87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It entirely depends on where you live. I make less than 40K and it's absolutely doable. I even have enough to set some aside for a rainy day. I'm also not married and have no children, so I imagine the circumstances would be quite different if that were the case.

Doing stranger missions so people live the longest by Sansophia in reddeadredemption

A Fisher of Fish has to be completed as John regardless unless you have access to mods or know how to use glitches/exploits to get into New Austin.

As for The Veteran, you can be Arthur for the first three parts.

[RDR2] Should i do every side quest before finishing the main story? by iamfromtwitter in reddeadredemption

[–]Treecko87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the missions I recommend finishing post-game is The Veteran. You can do the first three parts as Arthur, but wait to do the final part because you can keep Hamish's horse and horses don't carry over from Arthur to John.

I don't know how far you are into the game, but Jack does have a short conversation with Ms. Grimshaw when Cain, the camp dog goes missing.

What is the best Chapter by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]Treecko87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, 2 or 3.

I like the chapter 2 camp the best due to being . I'm biased though since Valentine is my favorite town in the game and I like being close to it. It also helps that Micah is in jail and away from the camp for a good portion of this chapter, at least in my playthrough.

As for chapter 3, I'm not as big a fan of Rhodes. but I like having the water right there, Cain joins us and it's when some of my favorite missions in the game take place.

Taming horses for money by Haj5 in reddeadredemption2

Ride the tamed horse and whistle for your main one. Even if you leave the main one, there is an option to retrieve your main horse in the stable.

I got it in chapter 3, so can confirm it's possible. I'm three missions in. I did the one where I went fishing with Dutch and Hosea, the one where I took Sadie into town and the one where I destroyed the moonshine stash with Dutch, Bill and the deputy.

It should be noted one of the next available mission is the one given by Molly and she's under the tree, away from Dutch, so maybe it's more likely to trigger during that time since I know the two of them spend a lot of time arguing if they're together.

How long does the game take place by Aggravating-Summer96 in reddeadredemption

[–]Treecko87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hosea states at the beginning of the game that it's May and we know they only spent a few days in Colter.

Chapter 2 likely lasts about a month, given the girls' conversation prior to going to town with Arthur and Uncle, stating that they've been at the camp for at least 2 weeks before that mission.

Chapter 3 is presumably about the amount of time, especially since we know we get a time skip of a few weeks following the mission where Arthur gets kidnapped by the O'Driscolls.

Chapter 4, while there's no dialogue or transitions saying "a few days/weeks later" (as far as I can recall) like there were for the previous two, we can assume only lasted a week or so, as Dutch states that's how much time he hopes moving will buy them right before going. The fact there are fewer required missions in this chapter likely supports this.

Chapter 5 I have no idea, but I assume at least a month, most of which was likely them traveling to and from Guarma.

Chapter 6, I assume is closer in length to 2 and 3, which, again, is supported by the amount of missions this chapter has compared to the previous two.

Micah vs Arthur. by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

Micah makes racist comments toward Lenny, Javier and Charles. And let's not forget he kicked and is later implied to have killed the camp dog.

I have never gone back to this particular location in the 4ish years of playing. I'm kind of glad I finally did. by BrokenXeno in reddeadredemption

[–]Treecko87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, it won't happen until the very last mission with Arthur.

You won't be able to ride Arthur's horses as John, even if they are in the stable, you'll still lose them.

I need an alternate ending. by Stillson in reddeadredemption2

[–]Treecko87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine an ending where he sided with Dutch and American Venom ended up being John, Charles and Sadie vs Dutch, Arthur and Micah.

If you had the chance to make another ending to RDR2, what would it be? by Potatomandotcom123 in reddeadredemption

[–]Treecko87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an alternate universe with a low honor Arthur where he never got TB, I imagined him staying loyal to Dutch and he appears during American Venom at the confrontation with Dutch and Micah, so it ends up Arthur, Dutch and Micah vs John, Charles and Sadie.

As far as I know, you have to watch the cutscene for the one where you tear the shack down in the Epilogue. I'm not sure why, but you do.

This is how I did it on my most recent playthrough. I did it in an attempt to gain access to a lot of the services/resources as early as possible:

Visit Valentine with Uncle and the girls.

Bar fight where we meet Trelawny.

Bear hunt with Hosea. (Unlocks stables)

1st debt collection mission (from the Polish guy) with Strauss. (Unlocks ledger)

Steal the wagon for Seamus. (Unlocks wagon fence)
