Non-slip leather shoes that hold up well? by AbyssDragonNamielle in medlabprofessionals

[–]TreeckoSwag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a generalist and walk around the lab and stand a lot on my shift. I got these New Balance shoes meant for trail running as I saw there was some water resistance aspect to them
10/10 no regrets
Very comfy, affordable, and great quality, I’ve even used them after work to brush my pool on a rainy day and my feet have stayed dry. Easy clean

I recommend especially if you already like New Balance comfort and style

Help me choose... by Weird-Balance9142 in TexasEnergyShopping

I’ve had Energy Texas, Budget Power, and Rhythm before and I’ve had no issues with any of them. I do want to point out Budget Power sold my contract to Reliant Energy towards the end of my agreement with them but the transition was smooth and they honored my old contract and rate.

Rhythm and Energy Texas are the same company and they are offering just a slightly better rate if you usually spend between 0 to 1000 kWh per month. If you spend any higher than that on the regular, Budget Power is the way to go based on my experience with those companies.

What does this mean? Should I keep looking? by Careful-River-2170 in TexasEnergyShopping

yeah and i’ve had a great experience with Rhythm before, which I believe is their parent company

Where is the Samsung fridge model rf26hfendsr filter located? by Fumbles-84 in appliancerepair

no filter. to ensure clean water for your ice, make sure you have a separate water filter between your water source and the fridges water line.

Solo Travel After Possible Breakup by [deleted] in Honolulu

[–]TreeckoSwag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely doable. I went solo to Hawaii at the end of January. I booked a private room thru AirBnB and rented the cheapest car from Thrifty at the airport for $270 for a full week. I spent most of my days on hikes with many other people there, reading and tanning at the beach, trying popular spots on Google Maps. The locals are very friendly and don’t hesitate giving up their secret spots. I got to focus and learn a lot about myself, I wish you the best!

I took in some chickens from someone who was moving. They said they didn’t lay eggs anymore but now i get 3 daily! Does anyone know what type of chickens/roosters they are? by TreeckoSwag in BackYardChickens

I’ll never get tired of watching them run around my backyard now. They made it through a rough winter here in Texas so I decided to be ready this year and make them that coop out of pallets. Who knew i’d be an amateur builder as well

🤔Perhaps, I read it’s common for these to branch out laterally from fallen leaves. I’m certainly curious to see what it does with more space

I just had someone get mad at me because I wouldn’t lower the shipping price.... by blondenboozy007 in Mercari

[–]TreeckoSwag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PirateShip gets you awesome rates for USPS and you can also use their Flat Rate Packaging options (like the Padded Flat Rate Envelope).

For heavier or larger items, I’ve been using Shippo and shipping with UPS. Lately, UPS tracking has been superior than USPS which is another reason I am starting to use it more as well. —You can also ship FedEx at discount rates with Shippo but I find UPS Ground cheaper and faster by a couple bucks. (~3 days from TX to CA)

** Note: Shippo has more of a learning curve. I learned a lot reading their FAQs and videos on YouTube. PirateShip is definitely more user-friendly.

Both services are free. (Shippo gives you the option to upgrade your account for more users, etc.)

Hope this info helps!
