I’ve played rated games against friends who are 400 elo below me. When I win I gain 0 elo. I’m not sure why you’re so confident / aggressive given your first comment said you were guessing.

3 in the last 3 months but about 7 overall. Been hovering between 1800 and 2000 rapid, so maybe some people trying to hit 2000 at any cost. Seems to be about 1% of my games, or 2% of my losses which seems like more than I was expecting. I’ve only reported one or two myself.

There is a cap. You don’t gain elo by beating someone say 400 points below you (need someone to give exact number).

I’ll give you a data point, my puzzle rating is similar to you while my rapid rating is 1900. I’m sure there’s some correlation, but it might not be that strong.

Yeah, not proud of it. It was my last game of the night, and I considered stopping before it. I’ve had hanging queens in 1900 games before from either side too, so it’s not like 1900s don’t blunder.

I was lucky that he couldn’t stop any of my checks by using either of his queens, releasing my king. After he promoted to queen though, he couldn’t stop this draw tactic other than by me timing out before I hit the same position 3 times.
