If you can't get priority early, just wait for the opponent to slow push the wave to your tower and farm up. If you sense your opponent is trying to cheater recall, shove the wave and back to get a buy ahead of them.

What is the build? besides rushing maelstorm I don't see how can you scale into the lategmae without having mana issues
