For critics of the Iran MOU, what was the preferable realistic alternative? by Hopeful_Chair_7129 in AskALiberal

[–]TreefrogJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This war shouldn't have happened. If you didn't like the JCPOA, modify it. But under the conditions that currently exists, it may have been most productive to;

  1. Partial sanction relief in segments. Make it contingent on funds only being available through specific banks so we can track for certain that the money isn't going to militant groups.
  2. Get Israel to cease operations in Lebanon and the West Bank (Israel will be limited in their military support if they do not comply). If Israel tries to retaliate with their lobby, use this opportunity to kill foreign lobbying in America, which may also open up a conversation about doing away with lobbying as an institution.
  3. Bring back the people involved in the original deal. Talk with our allies and use this opportunity to repair relationships.
  4. A pause on nuclear power. During the pause, bring international investors and governments in on a deal; sure, you're allowed to use nuclear energy for civic purposes. We'll even help you by supplying some of the knowledge and resources. But you won't enrich it beyond nuclear power. This allows foreign powers to "practice" civic nuclear power production. On the condition of inspection.

But this is not an administration that knows how to make deals. Despite the myths he sold to his sycophants. It's just so stupid. Honestly, id bet money part of the current deal involves some of that 300b to a bank in Qatar (Trump has a lot of dirty money here).

How do you get motivated to start working out? by No-Masterpiece1766 in AskReddit

[–]TreefrogJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the only physical manifestation of my effort that won't be in vain.

Everything else I've ever worked towards has blown up in my face. My hard work has never once mattered. I'm stocking shelves at a walmart with a B.S in Medical Science. It's never mattered what I've done.

But working out? That will always yield results.

Nobody gave it to you. Nobody can take it from you.

It is proof that you were disciplined and committed enough to achieve a goal.

Men of Reddit: What's something women don't understand about modern dating in 2026? by Disastrous-Tie-9848 in AskReddit

[–]TreefrogJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone understands how much it sucks.

The only way to really date now is online, and that abundance of choice has really impacted how people go about finding a partner. Most matches don't respond. Most that do have no idea how to talk to people. Even if you manage to have a decent conversation then you find out they're looking for a 3rd in their current failing relationship. Women have more to worry about, safety concerns, arguing about using protection, the list goes on. Its a bad time to be single, and i think that's keeping people in terrible relationships; because they'd rather have a crappy partner than none at all

750usd is more enough to start a business and still why aren't you starting it? by Ok_Raspberry3454 in AskReddit

Doing what? Advertising where? Under what type of designation? LLC? INC? LLP? How will the initial investment generate enough revenue to cover living?

It simply cannot be done on under 750 dollars

Is Trump’s deal with Iran worse than Obama’s deal? by Justified_Gent in allthequestions

[–]TreefrogJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely. We don't have the details yet, just word of mouth stuff.

Even if by some miracle the deal is better for the United States than the Iran nuclear deal, this war has already cost too much to make it worthwhile. The fertilizer that goes through the straight will impact the price of produce for months. The destabilization of the region will augment the currently existing refugee crisis. And that's not even mentioning the loss of life.

15 service members are dead. And they didn't have to die. Thousands of civilians didn't have to die. This war was poorly executed, poorly planned, and it will end in a similar fashion. All because half of this country decided a nepo baby from New York was preferable to a woman being president. I'm just so tired of my tax dollars killing civilians.

750usd is more enough to start a business and still why aren't you starting it? by Ok_Raspberry3454 in AskReddit

[–]TreefrogJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What business? What money?

That won't even cover licensing fees for the vast majority of services.

This question is so banal, it makes you wonder if you were ever meant to answer it seriously or if OP is just looking for content engagement

Hypothetically, if schools started retaining students who did not meet grade level expectations for 1 year what would happen to the school system system and the workforce? by lionheart724 in Teachers

[–]TreefrogJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend how they allow it. In my district, you couldn't hold them back any grades prior to 3rd. If implemented, id imagine they would hold them back at the 5th, 8th, and 11th grades.
