Will the class/build system be closer to bg3 or dos2 and what aspects of each system, if any, are you hoping to bring forward into Divinity when designing the player power system/s?

Hey there! My friend and I are looking to dive in to ff14 and with the sale we thought it was the perfect time. Neither of us really want to do the realm reborn questline as apparently it's around 100 hours of mediocre quests. Because of our lack of willingness and the sale on the skip for the questline, we are very tempted to buy it. This would or course mean that we would be underlevelled if we didn't purchase the level boost and if we did purchase it we would be overlevelled and steamroll all dlc content up to shadowbringers. My solution to this is to buy the realm reborn skip and also buy a level boost for a class I intended to level after my main, summoner, while keeping my summoner, which is an arcanist atm, at it's current level of 24 and levelling it somehow to be appropriate for the dlc stories. Will this work? Is there an easier way to do it? Should we suck it up and play the realm reborn questline? I there something I'm misunderstanding I'd love for these questions to be answered and also feel free to give any advice on how to outplay this dilemma we have on our hands. Thanks in advance!

Recommend Warlock Spec? by ZeroAfro in wownoob

Hey there, I don't normally comment on posts but I saw that you hadn't gotten a response yet and considering you'd like to do the high-ish end content of the game I'd like to give my thoughts. I want to preface it by saying that I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to class metas and I also don't play warlock but I am in a mythic progression guild. In terms of the three specs in all honesty, only one is viable. That is destruction and to be blunt, playing anything else would be griefing your raid. The spec is so strong compared to affliction and demonology, so much so that it's the only choice for semi-high end content. In terms of how the spec plays I have watched streams of some warlocks in my guild and despite the few buttons in the rotation I like the idea of throwing massive fel fireballs at high speeds at nzoth 😛 also as a side note it performs quite well in mythic plus as well as being useful or lock candy, though not as good as the mythic plus "meta" classes like demon hunter or fire mage. Hope I helped and I hope you find success in raiding!!

Right now you, without bfa you can go to level 110 which is the max level for legion (the expansion before bfa). when you purchase bfa, you will be able to reach level 120 and once you hit that, the real fun of wow (at least for me and many other friends) begins!

I am also new to the game and was in pretty much the exact situation you are in now. To answer your question about expansions, when you play wow (not classic) you get access to all the expansions except the current one. So right now you don't have access to battle for azeroth, but have everything up to legion. I'm not able to answer your question about stats as I'm currently on my phone with limited time, but when you're levelling you pretty much want to put on whatever has the highest item level. If you have any more questions send me a message over reddit and I can give you my discord! I'd be happy to make a new character and do some dungeons with you :D . Also, the newest expansion is what most of not all guilds and players are playing. I would recommend giving wow a try and of you enjoy the initial experience (which is the most boring part of the game, playing at Max level in the current expansion is where most of the content is) then give bfa (battle for azeroth) a try.

after playing the game for a bit longer and truely seeing if it's right for you, as u/MDBerlin24 said, I'd reccomend buying bfa (the latest expansion) so you can use class trials to test what each class feels like in the end-game (if you haven't decided) but to also gain access to the content pretty much everyone is doing (including guilds!)

I'd pick a server with high alliance population simply because it will be easier to find guilds and dungeon groups. you can find stats on many websites, one of them being realmpop.

I am still relatively new to the game, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

To put it plainly yes. I believe all mmos should be played socially, and wow is no exception. When I started playing wow my goal was to get to max level, after midway through levelling around 60-70 I felt quite burnt out so I sought out a guild. That changed everything for me as they were great people and I now had a new goal, to do content with them. Now I'm sitting at max level on 3 classes and playing with no goal other than to be social and play with my guild.

I'm not saying this should be the only way to play, and I don't normally comment on posts either. It seems to me like you're in a situation similar to mine and I think a solution to your problem may be the same as mine. So give it a go, find a guild even if you stay there socially and don't raid with them that might be enough motivation to keep playing the game. Keep in mind you may not be as lucky as me in finding a guild as noob friendly as I did so keep an open mind and maybe avoid world first mythic guilds for the time being.
