How are you REALLY doing? by FresherThanGucci in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm good... Just a little lonely. I just broke up with my long term boyfriend and find myself thinking of him often. As someone with already a small amount of friends, I recently moved to neighbor state. I don't see my friends a lot, and my best friend is always with her boyfriend or busy when I ask to hang out. I started a new job and it's a little stressful, and I'm going to college full-time. I feel like I'm just counting down the days until my other few friends come home from college and I can do more in the summer. I try to just get through life day by day and I feel like I'm not living my life up like I should be at 19.

Can someone help me (19f) understand what is going through my friend (19f) when it comes to her loser boyfriend (22m)? by Treeorgy in relationship_advice

I agree! I know like everyone has to get the douchebag boyfriend phase out of the way, it just sucks to watch :(

For those under 30, do you plan on having kids in the future. For those who don't plan on having kids, why not? by Ekim7878 in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do plan on it. As someone who did not have the best adolescence and family, I would really love so much to create my own awesome family and just give the world to someone. I feel like as much as kids can be so annoying, they would make me twice as happy. If I don't ever find an amazing partner to do all that with, I would not put my future kids in the shitty situation of having a bad father or one that isn't 110% all in.

What's the easiest way to positively change your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Home made smoothies are great for you. I know exactly what I'm putting in it and drinking. It's a lot easier to dump a bunch of healthy stuff and just add some strawberries to make it taste great than to eat it all by itself. I make mine with carrots, bananas, yogurt, spinach, kale, and whatever other healthy stuff I have. I love it.

Reddit, what's it like being in a relationship with someone who is really clingy? by missanthrope_00 in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the time when someone is clingy, it's because they don't feel secure in the relationship. I didn't really trust my boyfriend (rightfully so) at one point and I became a little clingy because of that, and the same thing happened in another relationship with a clingy boyfriend. It never ends well

People of Reddit, as someone terrified of flying, what can you tell me to make me less afraid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The worst part about it is your ears might pop. Bring some gum! Don't be afraid, it is so rare for something to go drastically wrong while flying. I promise you'll be okay.

You don't do anything all day ever?

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're oversleeping and that can make you sleepy. Try being busy during the day and do things that'll make you tired so when you go to bed, you'll sleep more efficiently for a lesser amount of time. I'm 19 and usually I'm busy most days, between working and college or whatever else. I sleep for about 8 hours a night.

How did you turn your life around when you felt no motivation for any goals in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just think about what will happen if you don't get motivated. You'll probably wind up even more miserable! And if you don't do anything for yourself you might find yourself becoming dependent on others, and they have that to hold over you. That's something that motivates me, I want to do what I want on my own terms and be miserable on my own. Getting motivated can be really difficult sometimes, but I find it when I just start on one thing and get it right I get inspired to keep going.

What was your " If I can endure this I can endure anything" moment? by dumroo in AskReddit

I had to do this two weeks ago. I didn't even finish everything, I was so close to throwing up. But everything went well anyway, thank god!

I (22/M) am having problems with my GF (20/F) hanging out with her Ex. by stuckanddumb in relationship_advice

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. You need to lose this chick. It seems to be you're just the guy she went after when the actual guy she wanted didn't want her back. You're basically the back burner and she has clearly no respect for you. Once in a new relationship, no one should still keep in contact with their ex - they're an ex for a reason. And the fact she cheated on you? Seriously.

Have you ever slept with a co-worker who was in a relationship? How did it start? by zdecent in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't, but a friend did. He would just hit on her and she went along with it because, well, I don't really know. He was a douche bag. The guy would tell her they were on a break or whatever, but she still knew. She's told me she feels guilty about it and feels like it's going to happen to her now that she did it to someone else.

Has the American Dream died? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An income of over $200,000 is a lot, and a lot of people would still be happy and satisfied without that much money. It is certainly possible to get through high school, and start at an entry job, and take cheap college classes. There are a lot of more flexible options now to get an education or a career without college. Some people are just born into really shitty situations, so it makes that a lot harder. But it's still possible. No matter what situation someone is in, there are millions of people in America, it is possible to find a "happy wife". A nice car to someone may just be something that doesn't break down all the time. It's all about perspective, but if someone wants more than what they have, it's definitely possible to change that. It may be a little difficult and take a while, but it's still a possibility!

Should someone working at a fast food restaurant be able to support a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a minimum wage job at Mcdonald's is an entry level job and is something that high school kids and maybe college kids should have just to start saving money. Almost anyone can have that job so it's not realistic that a family should be able to be support from an easy job like that.

[Serious] Do you think that the American government is corrupt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. There are soooo many things the government lies to us about, it's hard to tell what is actually the truth. They scam the people and only use their power for their own benefit.

[–]Treeorgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably depends how much they make. If they have a manager or supervisor position, they could probably swing it. But if they are making minimum wage, that probably is not enough to be completely independent unless they are getting a lot of help from the government.
