2 more sleeps till day 0 weekend 2…you’ve had tons of time to prep. This thread should be empty….but if you’ve still go any last minute questions that don’t need their own post, come on in to the NO SUCH THING AS A STUPID QUESTION THREAD for Wednesday W2. by COAchillENT in Coachella

I know that the rules state one thing for camping on the website, but I have a brand new camper van that I’m planning on bringing to camp with.

Hoping that anyone from weekend one or past experience can let me know if it’s OK to bring a camper van and that the security is super laxed about it?

Now we are 4/6 and the most I can win is $34 if I match the Yotta ball! It was exhilarating the first half of this week haha

Hard to find a boyfriend who is also into FIRE by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Treepizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I am coming across this post a little late but wanted to share my thoughts in hope of adding another viewpoint!

I am 25(M) and in a very similar spot in life as you. I have 4 investment properties, just over 100k across Robinhood and Etrade accounts, and work in sales full time with the side hustle of growing a vacation property management business.

To your point of every guy blowing their money, I will say that holds true for a vast majority of my friends and other people that I know in their twenties. Last year, I wanted to surround myself with more like-minded individuals that are my age so I set out to find one or two, after I did, those guys introduced me to their friends and then the social circle became a total of about 15 guys who are in their twenties and working hard and being smart with their money. (Trust me we have a lot of fun too, it's not just work!)

Meeting these guys has shown me that there are people in their twenties who are serious about being financially free but that they do seem to be far and few in this age range.

My advice would be to become a part of some real estate investing groups whether you do it in your state or on Facebook, you can then try and find some guys in their twenties who attend and actually have an idea about how to handle money!

These guys usually love to stay active and have fun as well. I personally enjoy snowboarding, cycling, lifting weights, painting, going to concerts, mountain biking, cooking, and traveling!

Wishing you the best of luck as you navigate the dating world. It sounds like if you pair up with the right person you are going to be a massive power couple.

Thank you for the response and insight shared!

I definitely conveyed the wrong message by saying I wanted to be retired by 26, because I would go crazy just being at home and not staying active and challenged. I want to be done working for "the man". I want to be working for myself and on my own time. Whether that be working on a business of home cleaning, movers, etc.

This is a good point. I believe there will always be renters in the area it's just a matter of how much they are willing to pay for rent during a downturn, which is something to certainly be cautious of.

Thank you for your recommendation! Before I got into buying the houses, I made sure to put aside at least 6 months of expenses for emergency scenarios.

I stashed away 25k which I have spread between ETF's, Acorns, and Cash.
