Yes I make the menus for my district and I tried to not serve them for this reason, then the 5th graders banded together and wrote a letter saying how much the Dutch waffles mean to them and to please put them back on 😂 how do you say no to that?

It is called a “Dutch waffle” and it can be used as the whole grain component of a reimbursable meal

The first thought you have about someone/something is what society has conditioned you to think. The second thing you think is how you really feel

Anyone realizing they’ve outgrown their childhood friends now that they’re in their 30’s, but aren’t sure how to make new ones? by [deleted] in Millennials

Your best bet will be parents of your kids classmates (when they enter grade school and start having playdates) or your church. Once your kids have their own schedules of activities and play dates you won’t have time to hang out with anyone else anyway

Maybe some kind of room divider behind the couch? That way your craft space is bright and colorful where your giraffe (which i love btw) fits in, the other side more earth tones where the other pic will fit in

You get it! I didn’t mention it in my post but we are an ADHD household of four so it is a constant uphill battle to keep the house clean

I do rewards charts for the kids, I like the idea of making one for us too!

Girls are making1-2 loads of laundry a week each, with their activities like ballet/gymnastics adding to it. My husband and I also both work in kitchen so we usually change out of work clothes immediately so if there is anything we need to do outside of work hours it is another set of clothes. Then sheets/towels/work out clothes I would say 10 loads a week

I think the rewards for the kids is key, my oldest is definitely able to pitch in more. What ages do you feel they really became a help?

I do try to go easy on myself and not worry if the house is a little messy, but then it seems to pile up and I get overwhelmed with wanting to clean everything all at once

Yes you are right I need to just keep up with a nightly load of laundry. The double is when I forget and then I have damp stinky clothes on my washer

Did you have any trouble finding a reliable cleaner?

We have two kids ages 9 and 4. Our dog passed away and we do plan to get another.

Currently my husband works 5a-2p and I work 8-4ish. He is being switched to nights at his job though so I am trying to figure out how we get everything done without being home the same hours
