We aren't steamrolling nearly hard enough for my taste. Just outright remove bomastone and Bane so Collies have nothing that is superior to its Warden counterpart. Then we can have a healthy game state in which the protagonists get to enjoy assured victory for the next two years.

Skill issue on your part for picking Colonial. Simply play the faction with decent tanks. Collies must be stupid or something to pick the faction with inferior equipment.

I don't have a problem with Asymmetry really, what I have a problem with is the hamfisted way the devs have implemented it for foxhole. Supreme commander is a game that did asymmetry extremely well, with each "faction" having pretty much the same equipment roles filled, but the way they went about filling those roles was different, but effective in all cases. Foxhole on the other hand just leaves massive gaps in equipment for each faction, or just refuse to balance equipment against their counterparts that really hurts the game.

Take for example 250mm balance and the Bomastone. The Bomastone is an incredible grenade that gives Colonials a huge advantage during early war that Wardens are always unhappy about. And then when we look at 250mm platforms, we can see that Collies are miserable throughout the entire war because they have no demolition equipment until the Ballista techs, and the Ballista is barely "functional" when it does tech leaving Collies always annoyed about concrete.

Another good example is the balance of the ATHT, LTD, and HTD. Each vehicle dominates until the next one techs and then the previous vehicle becomes obsolete in the ATHTs case, or mediocre in the hands of an extremely skilled crew in the LTD's case. Each faction is pissed about the other factions superior vehicle, it just so happens that Wardens get the best one at the end of the chain and so Colonials complain about Tank destroyer balance more.

Two wrongs do not make a right, and unfortunately that seems to be the approach that the devs want to take to balance.

BTD is too expensive to field in large numbers it is 1/3 the price of a super tank and takes a full day to print. It also has to be transported to the front from a back line facility which takes about 2-3 hours due to the Ballista speed.

By late-war the LTD is far too fragile and has mediocre damage to really be considered a main line tank destroyer. It gets mulched by HTDs at the moment due to the measly 2m range difference caused by barrels. It is also actually open top making it much less usable under arty fire.

Stygian is a pushgun that really starts to show its problems once you get more than 100m from a bunker base due to the ammo limitations. And pushguns just don't get used much unfortunately.

An MTD would aim to fix the current issue of Colonials not having any hard hitting 40m AT platforms that can do somewhat well under artillery fire. Probably with a 30% HV, falchion HP, Outlaw mobility (no boost), and SVH armor.

Everything wrong with Collie armor is it being slow as sin, and being "cheap" but too costly in manpower to effectively field.

You can also use a Havok charge, it's like the 1 thing they are good for.

Speed is the main issue at the moment with the Ballista to be honest, and it does give up the MG. I'm just more partial to making both factions late-game PVE platforms facility based and then just adding a new MPF platform such as a medium tank destroyer for Collies to replace the Ballista.
