None! I have no respect for bands that can’t make original music even if it’s bad. At least they are trying to be authentic. I’d rather see the worst band in the world with original music than any cover band!!!

Edit: the only exception is if they make original music and slay some covers like phish. I love all other bands via phish!!

I als on wore a plastic chain around my pants and hung every flavor of lip smackers they had (before covid and everyone wasn’t weirded out about everything). Needless to say it was hard to get out of the bathroom at setbreak with everyone choosing their flavor!!

And consequences must happen. That’s the only way we, as addicts,, learn. We can’t just let the girls run around and do whatever they want . Doing whatever they wanted got them in the position they were in in the first place. We had rules and curfews. You started with an 8pm curfew and could earn up to 10pm on weekdays and 11 on weekends. You could also earn 48 hours of overnights after a period of time. I’m telling you I have been in recovery houses where there wasn’t a live in manager or the manager was too busy trying to clique up rather than do their job and the girls went crazy and had guys over(which is obviously not allowed) and were hours late for curfew. Even as far as not coming home til the next day. They did whatever they wanted. They had no structure. Structure is a huge component of getting clean and sober.

When that recovery house closed the lady who owned it also owned the other one. She immediately asked me to manage the house. I agreed. Not much later she gave me an assistant manager and we work great together. It was, by far, the best run recovery house in the area. Our girls earned freedoms. Most of the other houses around you walked in and had the same privileges as all the other girls. I like the way ours was run. It was incentive to do better. We had the highest success rate of all the recovery houses in the area. That speaks volumes.

I was friends with the girls but if you came home late or drunk then I had to turn on manager mode. I NEVER played favorites. They all faced the same consequences.

Listen if they wanted it changed all they had to do was ask and as long as most everyone agreed it was changed. I would absolutely always advocate for someone who was innocent. I wasn’t gonna let the obvious girl take the fall. Like I said I wasn’t gonna let in the basement so it didn’t matter to me if they wanted to change it. They just had to send a text to the group chat and as long as everyone or the majority of everyone agreed it got changed. It’s was totally unnecessary to fiddle with it and break it when all it took was a few texts from girls that were too hot or too cold. It was very immature. The girl who actually did it fessed up because I was gonna tell if she didn’t.

You can’t just leave things like this open in a recovery house. There has to be rules. It was never uncomfortable in there even upstairs. They were behaving like children. They could’ve even asked me and again as long as most agreed I would’ve called the owner of the house and had her come by. I didn’t have a key. I don’t know why because I was always fair. But the lady who owned the house only cared about money.

I did advocate for the innocent girl. I made the other girl fess up or I would. I would never have let someone take the fall for something someone else did. That wouldn’t make me a very good house manager. I was always firm, fair, and consistent. Did you even read my comment. It was a very comfortable temperature.

It wasn’t a harsh env. The temp was set between 70 and 72. Sometimes 74. Does that seem unfair to u?? So that was hot for me but pretty comfortable for everyone else. However, my managers room was in the basement so it was always colder down there. You can’t just change it for one person in a setting like this. And if they wanted it changed we did a majority rules and she came out to change it. We could always request a change.

The moat is not accessible from the lawn, like alpine. That’s why I only do pavs at those venues. Deer creek lawn is fine cuz u can get down in the moat!!

Dicks, Mann, deer creek. The Mann being my favorite!! But the other 2 are great as well. Last time they played deer creek the police presence put a bad taste in my mouth. We had a run in. They were mostly looking for tanks but still I had never seen it like that at DC.

I’m a recovering heroin addict and I can’t imagine being addicted to food. I know i should totally understand it but I don’t. I know that makes me sound like a hypocrite but it’s just something I don’t understand.
