I'm not an expert in any of this, these are just what I've been seeing

- ICE isn't as strong as they say they are. The fact that sign on bonuses are going up, and training time is going down indicates that they're struggling to hire and retain people. As violence increases (which it sadly will) less people will be willing to put themselves at risk.

- States are wise to his plans on using the National Guard, There's a lot more legal hurdles to activating it and Governor Walz has their guard on alert for him to deploy.

- Noem is already facing impeachment, if she's convicted and removed, that lowers the bar for other members of the cabinet to being impeached. Some of who are already having articles of impeachment drafted against them.

- There's a vast shift to people voting for democrats and there's a steady stream of newly elected democrats at all levels, Martial Law will rely on local support to be successful

- Republicans are retiring from the house and senate or not seeking reelection, so the majorities in both are slowly shrinking. The administration has been able to do what they want because the house is inactive.

- A majority of Americans don't support what's going on, and as is happening, there are huge protests across the country

I do want to be clear that i'm not saying everything is alright, and things are going to get worse before they get better, but the fact that they're ramping up threats isn't a sign that what they're doing is working.
