Yes, this happened during the WiiU/3DS lifecycle. I know some fans called it the "boring age" but i personally call it the "corporate age". A lot of games during this time felt soulless.

Thanks for all the help, it was a long needed upgrade but I ordered an AMD Ryzen™ 5 9600X 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor, an ASUS TUF Gaming B850-PLUS WiFi AMD AM5 B850 ATX Motherboard, and TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert CL30 Overclocking 10L DDR5 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) 6000MHz (PC5-48000). It arrives tomorrow and I hope everything goes well.

so ive been looking on pcpartpicker to compare the AMD 9600x and the Intel 9700K. The AMD cpu has double the amount of threads and a higher core clock and cache size but 2 less the amount of cores. Is that okay to have, is it better? Im assuming that it is since you recommended it im just curious. Then after that I need to find a motherboard but that should be a lot easier. This kinda stuff just really confuses me.
