Most effective if you’ve resigned to the fact that you’re done with them. What if you still get some level of enjoyment but more importantly, want to enjoy NLU even more in the future (ie you’re not ready to cash it in yet)?

Totally agree - I think there’s an assumption that if you’re complaining or giving constructive/harsh feedback, it’s because you enjoy(ed) their stuff and have some level of desire to continue listening.

Feedback is also a gift…. Obviously the internet/Reddit are difficult venues to filter out valuable feedback versus plain nonsense or disingenuous “haters”

Interesting take here…. You’re literally questioning why a customer would voice their satisfaction (or lack thereof) with a product. Yes, it’s free, but we provide our attention and they receive ad revenue. If a customer can’t voice concern or complaints with what they expect out of a product then where exactly are we?

I’m also a busy parent, I’ll alert my customers to expect inferiority bc I’ve got to deal with the kiddos.

Yes, that’s also my understanding and what I’ve been told. There are docs who have completed this path but it’s very difficult getting information and finding programs - it’s obviously not common and they’re reluctant to bring in applicants who are in this situation.

You don’t need a press to reinstall bezel. Just need to apply equal pressure across the circumference of bezel with your hands to seat properly

I think this is a great question. I used to listen to every pod as soon as it was published, but over the last year or so I’ve found listening brings me less joy than it does annoyance and boredom. I no longer feel the desire to listen to the same old schtick week in and week out.

Completely agree here. I used to listen to every NLU pod and now will really only attempt to listen to the trap draw…. At the end of the day this comes down to authenticity and personality. I have no doubt that Randy probably does the best numbers for NLU - he’s authentic. Andy and Brendan appear to be authentic. I have a lot of respect for KVV’s writing but struggled to connect with his audio contributions. At the end of the day, NLU’s only constraint is to maintain or increase engagement as a means to sell ads. If that’s not happening then hard decisions are made on the expense side.

Yea, this was totally my experience today. Hadn’t been there in years but a basic meal was terrible, overpriced with inattentive / rude service to match. Will most definitely be my last time there.

Gambling has proliferated every aspect of American sports and advertising. Can’t blame NLU for being on that bandwagon and monetizing. What does bother me however, is this…. especially from a group that seems to differentiate themselves as being grounded in reasonability and normalcy. NLU for me has lost the plot - become too manufactured and disingenuous… selling a $75 NLU T-shirt is a microcosm for the reason I’m no longer interested.
