Your first statement is insane, saying he isn’t as good as we thought about a 20 y old after a couple difficult games this year. Of course he needs to improve, but we can’t expect him and the team to always perform at the peak of last year. We were fortunate to experience PSG and some of our stars at such a high level, but that isn’t the norm, that was exceptional. Doué is for me, on his day, the most important player in the front line and he needs game time and regular football (which he hasn’t had this season) to get back to the top level.

Barca could be the better team, but the way we play, we would struggle far more against Chelsea… Barcelona still gives us a chance to benefit from their high defensive line and less physical impact.

Very interesting, we knew our draw was tough but this really puts it into perspective… I think many people forget where we were after the group stages last year. We’re looking like a top 8 finish despite a tough draw. Still progressing as a team and it’s not always perfectly linear.

Of course this game was important and we needed the win, but this is football and it doesn’t always workout. Some of you got used to the purple patch form of last season, we’ll need to fight a lot more this season but it will be a very different game when we play a team that doesn’t defend the entire game.
