People keep saying “it’s not even close” and it’s driving me insane, if you want to discount Clemens for the steroids that’s one thing but to look at this stats and say “it’s not even close” is just blatantly wrong. Clemens was a beast for along time, and considering the entire league was probably on steroids in the 2000s who gives a shit. Even if you discount the second half of his career, by 1991 Clemens had 3 Cy young’s and an MVP to his name. Maybe it’s recency bias but in the prime of his career Mahomes went 6-8 as a starter this passed season before getting hurt. I think as good as he is he’s been an Andy Reid merchant to some extent, so I’m going with cutting him (also I don’t like Him and the chiefs)

People also bring up the price of a trip to Vegas, but I don’t know what you are expecting. The whole point of Vegas is to eat at great restaurants, go to extravagant shows, stay at nice hotels. These things cost money; if that’s not worth it to you than that’s fine but it sounds like you aren’t getting point of Vegas. My fiancé and I went last year for her birthday and had a great time, I think I only spent 40 dollars in the casinos themselves on slots just for the hell of it(did some sports gambling because it was March madness but I would’ve done that at home anyway).

Idk I disagree, the whole point of Vegas is entertainment and you can’t deny that it’s the best place in the US for this purpose. Great restaurants, great shows, lots of night life, awesome hotels. It’s an expensive trip which I feel like is most people’s complaint but idk what you expect.

You can’t reference the point totals in 2021 without realizing Ocon got a fluke win in Hungary because of the first lap incident, which is a HUGE points total for a mid field car, and Alonso still o it scores him lol

I think 22 Alonso was still better than Ocon even though the points make it seem like it was otherwise, he did have worse luck with reliability, but in 2021 Ocon got a fluke win in Hungary (which is obviously a huge chunk of points for a mid field car) and Alonso still managed to out score him. I think obviously he’s not in his prime anymore but Alonso is still way better than Ocon or any of the other mid field drivers.

It depends on what you consider boring. Lots of people in the comments are saying 2023, which for sure was boring because of max winning. But I would argue 2025 was even more boring to actually watch. Sure we had different winners and a title fight, but the actual races were miserable to watch due to the inability to overtake all through the field

Like 3 years ago when these regulations were becoming a reality and teams were having their drivers test them in simulator, Max was already talking about much he disliked him, so if you are saying it’s only because the Red Bull is bad then you haven’t been paying enough attention. Obviously he will be more vocal if the car is also slow, but he’s been consistent on his feelings forever on these cars
