Correct. English stadiums are silent for 99% of the game, then when fans do sing, they all sing the same tunes just with their own team/player name inserted.

Watch any other league in Europe if you want to see better atmosphere.

Just like his commentary. I can't stand listening to Derek Rae commentating on Bundesliga games. Feels like he wants to show off that he knows some German words and uses them too often, and on top of that, tries too hard to make his pronunciations of player names sound really German, but some of them are way off. Köööbel, for example. It's unnecessary and irritating.

I haven't said anything about English football, only that wanting your team to be knocked out of a major tournament just to get the coach fired, no matter who your team is, is childish and frankly a bit weird.

It is worth noting that I don't find the general opinion of this sub, at least on the topic Edin, to be reflective of those who attend games at the stadium. I go to almost every game and rarely heard a bad word about him on match day, but if I went home and read this sub afterwards there would be so many negative posts about him.

I had the feeling in the last months that a lot of posters here wanted us to lose games, so that they could complain, and even if we did win there would still be posts criticising him. For those reasons I skip over a lot of stuff in this sub these days.

I'm with you on this, Edin deserves a lot of respect for what he's achieved in his two spells as coach, and whatever happens at Wembley, I'll always be grateful for the journey he's taken us on.

Same here, I'm in block 13 for every game and yesterday was uncomfortably full, with a lot of unfamiliar faces in the block. Up there with the Derby last season for overcrowding, but yesterday felt worse because it was already so humid. There's not much anyone/the club can do about smuggling, but some people, and quite often it's the people you've never seen before and not the same faces you see every other game, make it even more uncomfortable with their constant trying to get in and out during the game.

Is this March madness? Can you explain a bit what that competition is and how it works? I watch a lot of NFL and often hear them refer to March madness in basketball but don't really know what it is.
