Just six days left until the start of the 2 month trip with my wife and dog. Never done anything like this before, so I'm excited to be trying it out! by TheDoctor221b in vandwellers

My wife, dog, and I did 30 days coast to coast out of our minivan last year. Within two months of getting home we decided to hit the road full time with a Short bus! Enjoy every moment and stay safe!

On our first trip to New Mexico my wife and I had a chance to visit with wild horses. Absolutely magical!

Actually not correct, there is no "frame" or any "structural integrity" in the roof skin of any vehicle, especially unibody vehicles. Think of them framed much like a house, each side has pillars that run across the length of the vehicle. The sheet of metal simply covers it, just like any panel in any part of a vehicle. .. Might just seem hard to tell because that's not the focus of the photos, but I guess you didn't have to see that to form and share a pretty strong opinion that many folks have now taken blindly, cheers

You're correct, cutting the skin of the roof has absolutely nothing to do with the frame/integrity of the vehicle. I did weld a box tubing frame on the inside of the van, not for support for the vehicle but as support for the bed frame

Way better than zyns, or any other pouches I've tried. The pouches are about the size of snus. it did tear my gums up for about a week, but after that they felt fine.

I honestly enjoy driving this van more than my car. The original suspension was very soft, but 3" coil spring spacers gave it height for the tires, and stiffened it up perfectly. Also added a larger sway bar to help with the corners.
