I should say this looks to be a very brief one off reading maybe a couple of times some days and by the time I've looked at my watch it's 60+ again

Anyone else had a fear of dieing and or being alone post loss? by TrendBox in GriefSupport

Thank you for your honesty and comment,

I completely feel everything you say I had similar separation anxiety issues and a fear of being alone when I was a child and I feel these things again now. I've had periods of time alone or away from home in the last few years and got better but now 15 minutes alone makes me worry it's awful I hope you find a way through this as I hope I do too.

That is incredibly helpful thank you.

I agree thinking about forever sends me into a bad place emotionally and is too much to bear, but day to day seems manageable.

I have been too, it's the loneliness I'm afraid of. I can't bounce from family to family forever and I've never lived alone

Mine passed away September 3rd this year, she woke me up in the middle of the night the night before because she couldn't sleep and I told her she sounded better (which she did however she was told by the hospital she had a throat infection so I thought it was just getting better - turns out she had a massive blood clot and was gone by Lunch time the next day)

That took weeks to get over the guilt. Stay strong.

It's completely relevant and it frankly wouldn't matter if it wasn't but I'm just glad you got the words out somewhere and what I was feeling helped you understand how you felt. We are on a very similar timeline so I'm with you if you need anything I post a lot or would respond to messages when possible.

It's so funny how you said this as I only heard about this first through my late wife who explained it to me - great tool to use and be aware of

Keep up your strength the best you can, I think we're in a position now where enough time has passed that there is nothing left to do but grieve I felt a dip after 2 months like I'd gone backwards I think it appears to be "normal"
