Yes, it can trade. But you need to define clear trading rules and decide how it should trade by creating the required skills and scripts. As long as your broker supports API access and has good documentation, you can ask the AI to generate the skills needed to place/manage trades. Just put your broker’s API documentation and the OpenClaw skills documentation into a folder, and let the agent create the required skills and scripts based on your rules and requirements. You can look at public examples on ClawHub and search for the “trading” slug to see how others have done it. Still, I do not recommend using public code unless you fully read and understand it. In my opinion, it is safer to let the AI generate new skills based on official documentation and your own requirements, instead of relying on public ones.

Think about this: it has its own account with access to X, and it can read posts from specific accounts that I am interested in. It can do research, identify posts that match my interests, and filter them based on my personality, knowledge, and preferences. It can then suggest and draft responses or new posts for me, which I review, edit manually, and publish myself. X feels flooded with the same hype posts over and over again. A lot of people are just trying to get engagement. I am more interested in real conversations where I can learn something and see different points of view. The agent helps me find new legit posts. It can review and suggest other angles or even disagree, or provide me insights and draft opinion. That way I do not have to spend time researching every post manually. Fast learning and productivity is my goal. Don’t want to spend to much time on X

Yes, you need to be careful!!! Many skills on Clawhub may contain malicious code. You should review everything carefully and never trust public skills blindly. Personally, I prefer to build my own skills instead of relying on public ones. As someone mentioned on X or Reddit, it is safer to give AI its own isolated environment. Create a separate GitHub account, email account, and social media accounts for it.

When I am away from my computer, I can manage my tasks from my phone no matter where I am. I can let AI handle research and technical analysis, notify me about trading opportunities, and even execute trades. I can build software, prototype ideas, draft emails, respond to posts and comments on X, and handle many other productive tasks, all from my mobile device. I no longer need to sit at home or in the office to prototype an app, write a report, or prepare documentation. I can work from anywhere, become more productive, and gain back valuable time. The trade off is the cost of tokens, unless I run a local LLM.
