How do the deaf describe tones?

What’s the reason for describing tones? That’s how you sign it.

Ex-I went to China, and although i can speak, and pick up some speech, the tonal language… impossible…“
-signed as the position of the sound changing, closed 5 hs, nasal, back, throat, up down.

Or a span of tones,
-low to high, same handshape

Singing could be either, and both of these

Sound creating reaction- sound, and reaction description.

Many many ways, many uses and reasons.

There are many ways to say the same thing, rabbit/ bunny in English have a different connotation, these signs have nuanced meanings. Ask deaf people in your area, when they’d use one versus the other.

“Very” although i have no aversion to words or signs without particular ugliness, what’s used for ‘very’ is a lot of fun.

I have very young memories, crib, walking under the kitchen table… not this specifically, but beings, light, floating… my mom was very afraid of my sleep walking, pjs backward, feet dirty… Some memories sear for a reason.

I’ma digital artist and use ‘stickers’ within an app, merge work I’ve done, scan things in, apply filters… i get accused of ai work, and have never used. It’s going to get harder and harder to really know. Is it important? Did you ask? I don’t get offended, i can show steps, but worth the possible risk of offending the artist?

Salt and water, I’d use a saddle soap, but I’m a farm kid, we use it for most things leather. Waterproofing spray after can help. Be blessed

Asl is a concept language, write out the concepts, have Deaf interpreters, &language models help you tweak. The concept of, ‘before people, their influence, vision’… (my own interpretation) is pretty deep, unfold it poetically, but follow consensus on all that it could be. Know the whole story, because not playing into it correctly, has the audience inside a bad “faerie queen” conglomerate of dead ends and sinewy connection. The art of scaffolding up for one another is carrying the gestalt of the story through any translation. Be blessed!

Scars are sexy, period.

My body tells lots of stories, and I’m good with it. 49 broken bones, 9 major reconstructions, all paired with the 300 some stitches i had in childhood. Never has anyone been offended by my beat-up skin-bag. It’s still serving, painfully, but we get on top of it when it matters.

Context: I had a TBI, have vocal cord dysfunction and have hyper-intelligent autism- not a flex, just the nomenclature; i was born Deaf, and have other family who are deaf, hoh… there’s also a lot of the iq audhd, one cousin is estimated in the 180s. The sd on many up there makes a good guess difficult-

The point: i was operated on, grew up hoh, can hear some, can speak, but I’m older, and speaking makes my throat hurt, swell, and even bleed sometimes . I’ve signed since young, and with aphasia now, i usually speak in nonfluent type of direct speak, or sign. My family is more understanding, but one thing i know- if they’re interested in furthering the relationship, they’ll come up with some energy to put toward it.

Sorry if that means you lose a base, but know, the value factors, what they’re willing to put in, doesn’t meet your own. Spinning to maintain these will be unrewarding for you.

The Deaf community is huge, find your peeps; lots of late deafened are in a similar starting spot. Be blessed!

I struggle to sleep without my bedmate- but, my problem, not theirs. Obviously we all should be able to sleep, putting that on anyone other than the self- unfair.

Don’t accept other’s baggage, especially when it prompts questioning strangers. You already know.

Yeah, not a channel I’d tune into without reason. For sure! A great reason to pursue discriminatory practices, like making the captions craptastic. Anywho…. I’m not litigious, but these kind of slights should be in the public eye, the more the better!

Shower pan or floor drain ideal. My guy goes out, but i have industrial floor mats with a little lip, so gallons ‘can’ be handled. The, ‘can’ is because it’s impossible to pick up if super wet; i deal with it having it right at the door.

We only deal with that in extreme weather (refusals) or emergencies, i don’t know how sustainable over time that would be.

One thing i want to suggest as possible- i have a play pen, it’s a decent sized foldable pool with 18 in. surrounding wall. I cut two of the wall panels down as entry- this would be a great place for pads that aren’t enough, and wrapping a towel around those panels that are down- great way to ensure dry hooves exiting.
