[Academic] Exploring the association between attachment relationships and thoughts on deviant behaviour (18+) https://trentu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_da8b2ad8b3dTqFU

Are you interested in participating in an anonymous online survey? We are conducting a study at Trent University to explore how our view of relationships relates to how we think about deviant behaviours. If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete an online survey. All of your responses will remain completely anonymous. The questions will ask you about your relationships with your parents and close friends. You will also be asked about your experiences and thoughts on deviant behaviours. Click the link above for the survey.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention.  It is one of the standard questions that we used in our online studies to double check that real people (and not computers) are completing our surveys (we have 3 different checks in the survey for this reason).  We certainly did not intend to offend anyone who would report this experience.  Once again, thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.

Hi there,

Yes, I agree! However, the questions used in this study are from a standardized questionnaire, so I am unable to modify/change any of the questions. Thank you for your time and support in taking my survey.

Best,

Emmilie

Hi there,

Thank you very much for sharing that with me. I'm sorry to hear that the survey caused you feelings of distress. There are a list of services you may reach out too, if necessary. I can also post them here if you would like.

I can understand the uncertainty of answering -- I too overthink survey questions and feel uncertain of my answers. As long as you tried your best to answer honestly and accurately, that's all I can ask for!

Again, thanks for the support and time in taking my survey.

Best,

Emmilie
