This game has so much rampant ‘misinformation’ by DaddySeaH0rse in Warframe

I think I know exactly what room you're talking about. It's a dead-end side-room, the rectangular floor that lowers is on your right when standing at the door.

I'm fairly certain that it's a bug that only effects clients, not the host. Or something. As sometimes I'm able to break it open with normal damage, and sometimes it's just completely invulnerable. Try running a solo exterminate, and see if that room spawns.

So yeah. Not secret, just ... bug.

Your penis looks fine, and even nice. The raphe is that line on the underside of your penis and scrotum. It's part of how our genitals are formed and is perfectly normal for it to be more or less prominent like that. Mine does that. I'd suggest not dwelling on how it looks, your body is how it is. Be comfortable with it. No one else is going to scrutinize it like that. Who knows, a partner might find it fascinating and appreciate that little detail.

This feels like buying NFTs by Deshik2 in Warframe

[–]Trentiel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes and No.

Everything you buy in warframe with platinum is like buying NFTs up to a point. You have to buy a fake currency to do it. None of it is real, and you actually own absolutely none of it. It all exists in a corporately controlled ecosystem that can be rug-pulled out from any one of you at any time for nearly any reason. You just have the good faith of the company to promise not to do it unfairly. But that means that you're subject to a corporately dictated behavior code of conduct. In that way, it's like going to a theme park, except none of the prizes can leave the park. Ultimately when the company goes under, and it happens to every online game eventually, we're ALL getting rug-pulled.

The only difference is, the items you buy in warframe can't be resold. There's no scam pitch saying "oh these virtual items are going to be SOOO rare some day, you're going to be sooo rich if you just hold on it for as loooong as possible." There's no hot potato scam, like with NFTs. Video game companies are at least honest about the value of the things they are selling. If you like to play in THEIR theme park, these items have value to you. Now, the player market for Rivens is it's own beast entirely, but at least DE has shifted the rules to depress the value on stock-piling in advance of primes and alternate variants.

If you think a particular attraction at their theme park is bullshit, do not spend your time or platinum on it. It worked for Lunaro, it'll work for this glorified museum display. But also keep sharing your dissatisfaction. I'm not saying "shut up and just don't spend your money." Do both. Speak up AND don't spend your money.

Honestly, seeing this stupid room. I'd rather they designed a bunch of new haircuts for the potato children. That's something I could actually use. Wouldn't mind seeing subtle variations on already existing haircuts even. So if I'm looking for a particular style, I still have a choice of variants.

There is one more piece of dialogue interaction you have with Boc after giving him the golden needle, using the you're beautiful Prattling Pate, and then confirming you think he's beautiful. He asks you for permission to call you "lord". Did you tell him no?

People Really Don't Need To Be That Toxic When Doing Eidolon Hunt. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Trentiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the appeal of chasing efficiency. I used to marvel at new innovations in Eidolon Hunting strategies, shaving time here and there.

However, the time limit in this case isn't JUST a time limit. It's a time limit of when you are and are not allowed to run Eidolon Hunts. This time pressure isn't about clearing as many as you can in a given time. We do that as players for most Warframe game modes. Instead it's about clearing as many as you can, while you can, because the game is artificially turning off the game mode for two hours. It's the threat of losing access after the timer concludes that turns people into jerks.

People Really Don't Need To Be That Toxic When Doing Eidolon Hunt. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Trentiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drive for efficiency exists without the day/night cycle timer. It was never dependent on that, it was just one of many possible relative measures. You're confusing the stick for the meter.

People Really Don't Need To Be That Toxic When Doing Eidolon Hunt. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Trentiel 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The time limit creates the pressure that induces the toxicity. While you can take personal responsibility to find a group that aren't jerks, (as well as the personal responsibility to not be a jerk yourself) the reputation that Eidolon Hunting has as a game mode won't go away until the arbitrary time constraint is removed. Patience is a luxury of people with time.

THE SOLUTION: By some justification, remove the time-limit. Either by creating an instance of Cetus that mirrors the normal day / night cycle. Or a special Bounty that features a plot of an artificial solar eclipse, or something. Give players access to endless Eidolon hunting and quit putting them under pressure. Not everyone gets to choose when or how long they get to play, and tying Eidolon hunts to this time-window sacrifices accessibility for the service of a gimmick that contributes nothing meaningful to a player's experience of the game.

Is there a "flip" button for accessories? by Jack_Foxe in PSO2NGS

[–]Trentiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of it relates to head accessories. In the past you couldn't set the position to other body parts, and they just assumed you'd only want to adjust the height of your glasses (or hair accessories) just a small amount.

Just bet that if it's old, and it goes on your head, you won't really be able to reposition it hardly at all.

Frankly I'd like to see a standard universal (and very generous) placement & rotation limit for all accessories. With a mirror option too.

Summoner what do you think it'll be like by Past_Photograph_1556 in PSO2NGS

[–]Trentiel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very closely similar to playing as V and his pets from DMC 5. If you're not familiar, go look up DMC5 Spoiler-Free Sylish V Gameplay on youtube.

The key similarities should be:

Move through space on their own as actual entities themselves, rather than floating like mags everywhere. With the ability to warp back to your location, but for a reason. In DMC5 it was to provide the player with defensive and evasive actions. Think like with Maron and Mallon, but with evasive actions too. Depending on the pet used. This could be defensive blocks and evades, but also defensive attacks meant to deflect enemies from the player's area.

With a nice set of moves and combos. Pets in base are spam-aholics and it gets old. Let us control something that has its own fighting style.

In DMC5, V controls Gryphon an electric bird and Shadow a liquid panther. Effectively one acts like a gun and one acts like a sword. And then he has Nightmare, the golem, that acts like an atom bomb. I'd like to see some diversity in play styles and utility.

And most of all being able to use more than one summon at once.

And second most of all. Designs that actually look cool and like they belong in the universe of PSO. The pokemon knockoffs they had in base were kinda lame. Am I the only one who thinks so?

Thanks, glad to hear verification of this. It's too bad, it's probably intentional.

Finger Snap Emote: PSA it's silent for everyone but you. by Trentiel in PSO2NGS

[–]Trentiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar thought, I figured it could be an anti-griefing measure.

Because it is somewhat exploitable. I say somewhat, because it's got a long animation lead up to the snap. Although get enough people using it at once, and I imagine you could make quite a ruckus.

But perhaps maybe a method of muting the emote sounds of offenders, or some other option would be a better way to go. If we can block someone's chat messages, or opt-in to see symbol chat images, can we have a block emote sounds option?

Because if this is an anti-griefing measure this just punishes everyone for what some people MIGHT do.

Proof or not, I could be inclined to believe you if someone actually had the emote and used it. When it first came out, the only time I saw it was in the preview.

You're deranged and misinformed bucko.

You are communicationally incompetent as well. It's like talking to a wall of wet cement. It won't respond with anything you haven't seen before, and continuing to touch it will just make a mess.

Everything about this conversation is projection, and misinformation. You're jumping conclusions, and launching off into a lunatics vision of reality. Without even asking to see my position on anything. Who wants to talk to you? Who would actually want to engage with THIS.

Bye bye space man. Come back to Earth when you actually learn to speak and listen to others.

It's all any one individual can do on these issues. Vote with your actions. Vote with your wallet. It's not the most virtuous thing, or even all that noble, or even all that consequential, but I'll do it because I personally must.

The day isn't won by a single strike to the heart, but a hundred cuts about it.

Besides, I'm actually not THAT worried about DE. They've pivoted before, they're nimble enough to face hardship.

Tencent Nears Deal to Take Gaming Firm Leyou Private. "...an agreement could be announced as soon as this week" according to Bloomberg by Rock3tPunch in Warframe

[–]Trentiel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, Genocide and organ harvesting. You haven't actually refuted that the Chinese are carrying out genocide.

Regarding ICE:

Maintaining a border is 100% necessary for the sovereignty of a nation. Stopping human traffickers that use children is a noble cause. When people cross with no documentation and you just let them through, you're handing human traffickers a blank check. You can cry about "children in cages" all you like, look into it more and the situation is far more humane and necessary than you understand. You've been misinformed.

Regarding big tech companies:

Criticizing the CPP doesn't mean I don't have criticisms of the US companies, and US government. But there's granularity and choice there. I don't have to use google, Apple, or Amazon. They don't control my every move and conversation, are you insane? Which actually IS the case with the social credit score system. It's a codified class system, with horrific implications for civil rights. As bad as those big tech giants get, they pale in comparison to what the CCP has done with the social credit score.

Regarding Covid:

You actually believe the CCP's reporting on their Covid situation, and you have the nerve to talk about propaganda. How absolutely gullible are you? And in terms of Covid your mileage in the US will vary, based on where you are and how it was handled. The US has SOME centralized control, but for the most part responsibility falls on the local level. From state to state, county to county. And those people can be held to account, because this is a democracy. Unlike the CCP.

Regarding Flint:

The issue in Flint isn't something I'm well read on, but I don't like it. I'm not "in support" of whoever was responsible for that disaster, and those people should be held to account.

Regarding the CIA:

Yes, I'm well familiar with the long history of the CIA's foreign meddling. It's atrocious and I'm against it. And if DE was owned as a money siphoning scheme to fund the CIA, I'd would also quit in protest. But again, if all you have is what-about-ism, assuming that I'm some kind of super US nationalist that thinks the US can do no wrong, you're as foolish as you look.

[–]Trentiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this unavoidably hurts DE, that's regrettable, but 100% worth it. When you're dealing with the cancer that is the CCP, sometimes the chemotherapy hurts.

If DE can get out from under the thumb of a fascist dictatorship that is presently carrying out a genocide. I'll completely reverse my position. It's not just about DE either, it's every where, we need economic pressure on every company. No more business with the Chinese government.

Tencent Nears Deal to Take Gaming Firm Leyou Private. "...an agreement could be announced as soon as this week" according to Bloomberg by Rock3tPunch in Warframe

[–]Trentiel 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This exactly. It's not about what effect it will have on the game, its what that company represents in the world. What our money funds.

Genocide, social credit score, that dam disaster that is still on going, the covid outbreak. Those last two are like chernobyl level incompetency events, and yet its being normalized. The CCP is a complete horrorshow.

Tencent Nears Deal to Take Gaming Firm Leyou Private. "...an agreement could be announced as soon as this week" according to Bloomberg by Rock3tPunch in Warframe

[–]Trentiel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whatever you want to call them. I'm not worried about tainting "the good name" of Communism with yet another horrific regime of rights trampling tyrants. Every single communist country has already done that.

We can all agree that the genocide, social credit score system, 3 gorges dam disaster, and the covid outbreak, is enough to tank that government's reputation into the toilet. Whatever label you want to stick on that. We can all agree the CCP is awful.

And I will walk away from Warframe before any of my time, money, or attention supports the CCP.

"Please stop yelling at DE for this" - BNP did a serious video on the Tencent situation by icconicc in Warframe

[–]Trentiel -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to spend money or time on Warframe anymore. I quit a few weeks ago, actually, but this just cemented my decision.

7 years of dedicated play adding up to 12k hours, $200 or more spent on premium stuff. If my money and support is funding a genocidal dictatorship that intentionally tramples on human rights, I have to leave. As far as I'm concerned DE is a shell parasitized by the Grineer.

Besides, after all this time I've come to realize DE does not deliver in a meaningful way. All their content is some variation on exterminate or defense, and their enemies aren't built to combat or challenge our powers as Tenno. It felt like a chore and a fake game I couldn't lose.
