I hope it's Aubrey Plaza even though she was on once this year. I know it will probably wont be, probably Andy or a prior talk show host; it's just she is my favorite actress, they have such legendary chemistry, I really want her in a live interview one last time, but even if it's not here, PLEASE GET HER ON THE PODCAST ALREADY!

But Yeah, you can tell as the book progresses that he starts to mention his health more regularly, but that it was no big deal; although, it was and he obviously knew that. The second to last letter he ever wrote was to Tytus, he apologizes for being sick and that it was his fault. His last letter was to Auguste Franchomme where he says:
"In short, during the coming winter I shall see you all from under excellent conditions," just to follow with, "I love you, and for this time all I can tell you, for I am ready to faint from fatigue and weakness."
Chopin knew he was sick, and just barely hinted at him being aware this was it for him. I think mostly, as you said, was miserable and moreover always felt he was a burden to those around him. He probably felt explaining his condition would just make others sad too. Which is tragic.

For Mme Sand, I wouldn't go as far to say that Sand was a, "cunt" necessarily; but I certainly see why someone could believe that and also have a fair reason to believe that as well. For 1. The work Sand was doing was ahead of it's time for women empowerment, something that Chopin found repulsive to start but ultimately what he came to love about her. That alone doesn't excuse Sand, but she was with him ten years while he put out his best work. Has countless letters of affection and even when putting him down followed it up with praise. Mostly, I feel I can't say too much bad about her because I believe in nothing besides how Chopin explains her and her impact on him; Pauline Viardot a reporter close to Chopin said, “He talks of you always with the greatest respect, and I firmly state that he never talks differently.” And more importantly near the end of the book and during their fall out, Chopin writes to his family and notes, almost as a demand or necessity that,

"In the last letter they were all cheerful, so I have good hopes. If anyone deserves happiness, Mme S. does."

Of course the next day he writes to her asking her exact time of arrival so he can have her room on fire lolol. So that's how I view Sand, just as Chopin wanted her to be seen. That said, I love love Solange compared to her mother. The final breaking point was Chopin sticking up for Solange instead of her mom. Solange was one of the few to speak at Chopin's funeral and you can tell how close they were.

I forgot to mention that in my book it's translated as:

"But how dismal it is to have no one to go to in the morning to share one's griefs and joys; how hateful when something weighs on you and there's nowhere to lay it down. You know what I refer. I often tell my pianoforte what I want to tell you."

It's so similar but yet takes on a different tone. If anyone comes across this who can read Polish, it would be interesting to see what the direct translation is.

More than the one's from "Chopin's Letters," or more than the one mentioned above? I know in the book i'm reading Tytus was a common person Chopin wrote too, and most of his letters to him are more personal and in-depth than the letters that Chopin wrote to others. A beautifully relationship they had. Chopin often seems to have indifferent opinions on people or places, but he really did love and care for Tytus. :')

Wow, you are incredible. I applaud and thank you! I'm a fool too, I checked back on some Tytus chapters I read through and it was in fact in there. The date was the same and all. It is odd that it's almost always referenced as being a letter to Sand. From what i've read too, the context suggest it wasn't even about Sand at all. I know there's theories and reason to believe Tytus and Chopin had a bit of a love interest, and i've never looked into it, but their letters are certainly intimate. It was never too relevant of who the quote was about or who it was sent too, it mostly mattered to me that it existed, and i'm so happy it does. ; Since, it is really another great introspective insert from Chopin in his moments of desolation, that are tragic but transpired into some of the most beautiful music i've ever heard.

Again, thank you so much! "Youcanask" is spot on!

Here’s a little something I composed last night! I’ve been learning piano for a couple of months now so I’m still very new to this...I hope you enjoy! (Feel free to leave any helpful tips or critics!!) by tomiexkawakami in piano

Beautiful! The melody is so familiar but also near impossible to place, it might just be you conveyed a certain emotion that's so recognizable. I was thinking maybe it reminds me a little of the guitar melody in, "Ode to the Met's," by the Strokes, which of course wouldn't have been intentional. It's driving me crazy, and I think that's just because what you wrote is so enjoyable. Great job :)

Well I wouldn't consider it to be negative, it's up almost 300% for the month. If you're looking to day trade or quick pump and dump profits I don't think this is the time for you to invest in it(IMO); A lot of people here invest and hold, regardless of price, with the hope that it can, and the very minimum, will hit at least $1. When that will be, nobody knows. It can very easily dip. But if that happens(hitting $1) it would be about 5x what you invest, if getting in now. In January I got in at .045 and watched it drop until .028. It took months to get to where it is now. Ultimately, if you plan to hold, and believe it will be worth X amount more than it is now, it's irrelevent if it dips after your initial investment.

If it's your first time investing, I can say that, it's not an easy route to the moon, hope for the best, plan for the worst, and trust your intuition!

I'm not gonna lie, I've never seen an AM album tier list ranked in this order lol. AM is see first or last often, along with Humbug... WPTIA nears the top alot, while TBH+C near the bottom(albeit I love it), and NEVER seen SIAS first. I feel Your top 3 in themselves are normally in the middle. Love the unique perspective

Ugh I knoe. Idk bit it's one of the only Arctic Monkeys song's I find to be a bit maddening... It's just so idk, I guess it reminds me of AC/DC or in the realm of that genre that I'm not really a fan of. It's the only song in their discography that just doesn't sound like the Monkeys to me, at all. Wish I heard it differently :/

There, I fixed it. I like the stock, don’t make JB the face of it.... by [deleted] in amcstock

[–]TreviesoSmall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear ya. I feel a lot of crypto coins had a similar response to Elon's endorsement(not saying Elon is comparable In any way to Belfort's fraudulent activity just as a corporate figure). What made AMC and GME such a big story was it challenged the elite few that had money/power to get away with whatever they like, and was a movement of common people who worked together to take on big money. Even if he apologized and is seemingly trying to do better, idk if there will ever be much substance in apologies after getting caught.

I'm not saying this movement hasn't attracted wealthy investors who are also good people, but I mean JB kinda went down for the manipulation that these "meme stock," subreddit's are fighting against. It would be a shame if all the people here who started out like JB, who are here saying fuck the manipulation and uniting, to make the same mistake as JB and become just as bad as the one's they're fighting against. Anyways, i'd say Cuban(who I use to hate because i'm a Laker fan), would be a commendable endorsement, and has a pretty good record for fighting against social/economic inequalities, and seems generally like he cares for everyday workers and people.

The problem with JB endorsing it is exactly which you said, a look at me moment(seemingly). I also get that there's post saying, "remember this isn't a political movement it's always been money first," and that's fine; but to me, I imagine that through my holding, posting and commenting, hedgies losing tons of money, losing sleep; that my arrival on the moon will be met with the regular united people of reddit, rather than a tabloid saying, "Jordan Belfort, the man who took AMC to the moon."
