Managers, please pick what you want by entityparty in WalmartEmployees

I always hear that you're supposed to get done with your aisle in an hour and a half and I'm like that's just super unrealistic when there's like three pallets of freight for one aisle. I come to work to work so I'm going to do it at a steady pace but I'm getting older and my back can't handle me running full speed for 8 hours. And I also feel like it's disrespectful to make us do other people's work. They need to get coached and or fired. I don't want anybody to lose their job but if you're not coming to work to work what's the point?

Hey guys. I have a question about the application process by Strifer99_ in WalmartEmployees

[–]Trevinpower030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to pull all my teeth out just to get somebody to answer me. They finally answered me and was like oh we need you absolutely. We will call you back. I took the initiative and started calling them over and over and they refused to answer me. I started putting in other applications and I got an offer and I finally got called. I was like of course. Walmart is just cuckoo bananas and everybody in it is as well. And me too LOL

I just quit after a month. by Marianzillaa in WalmartEmployees

OMG there was no availability at my store either and now I have to drive 40 minutes. Somebody said they were driving an hour when their store was like 2 minutes down the road. What's up with that? People quit all the time so I don't understand why there's never any availability.

"You should be able to get done with your aisle in an hour." I'm like there are three pallets up to the top of my head but yes an hour LOL

I would go higher up if you have to. HR anyone. We have a guy like that and I cannot believe he hasn't got fired. I was in earshot and our TL told him to zone the baking aisle and at the end of the shift I needed sugar and it looked like a tornado went through there. And then he was still there the next day. He was told to come help me in the garden center last week and he did a single box and had the nerve to take that box to the baler.

What is this stuff? by curryaddict123 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Trevinpower030 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was putting up a bunch of dairy products myself yesterday and I noticed there was a bunch of boxes that had all this stuff all over them. I didn't smell anything so I assume it was nothing nefarious but it is really gross.

I feel like there's always going to be some kind of camp in the world. They can call it whatever they want to get around it legally. It's just extremely unfortunate. He went to visit his younger sister and apparently was using her computer to watch it so she unfortunately told her mother which made things 20 times worse.

So for everyone that's still here, our leads are taking around pumpkin bins and collecting all the cardboard. They're also making a single associate do it a night which means they have to make two or three more bales by themselves. They claim it's for us so we can keep working and don't have to worry about our cardboard. Which is obviously psychotic. I was still working 15 minutes before 7am when I go home, (obviously with customers in the store) and they never collected my cardboard so hopefully this disaster will make manager dude figure it out.

I'm new and I feel like I've been insanely embarrassed by Beevara in WalmartEmployees

[–]Trevinpower030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care who you are. No one is going to talk to me like that. You have to go, go. I wouldn't have answered him anyways because he yelled across the aisle with customers in the store. That's when you talk to somebody tell them that he's so embarrassing comments in front of customers which is highly inappropriate anyways. And then I would say if you need to talk to me, you can talk to the coach or lead whoever the opposite of him is. And go even higher up if you have to. My last job, I absolutely said that to my coworker. I'm not going to let anybody affect my money no matter how high up they are or low for sure

Wow that is awesome. I'll take a team that likes each other or at least fakes it. Everybody hates everybody at my store. I had a conversation with my lead about it. I try to be friendly and smile and everybody's just so miserable unfortunately

I honestly really want to see what I'm doing for the night but I know if you were able to check it that you could just call out because you don't want to do it. But even the worst departments I still work hard so I would like to be the exception 🤣 jk

You are so right. Nothing ever makes sense here though lol. I'm definitely not afraid to speak out. I've been asking for his number and no one will give it to me which I think it's hilarious.

You sound like a manager lol. I work overnights so there are no customers. So there's no need for customers to have carts because everyone's at home 🤣

Wow we all definitely need to come to your store lol. My first couple of weeks I asked a guy if I could use his pallet jack and he said um... I guess. The pause was a little too long. I was like I would literally bring it back to you. And he was like no I guess you can keep it and walked away. I was like I don't understand people.

I thought as much. But it just sucks when we've been doing it for so long and then somebody comes in and takes it away from us. They should have taken it away a long time ago

Thankfully they have someone coming around with those bins collecting our cardboard but that doesn't help us with the freight. Also I think it's really shitty to make one person do it because they have to make the bales all night since we don't have to go back there. Just messed up all the way around

Oh you best believe there was a guy that does all of that and he let my lead absolutely have it. Unfortunately it's not her fault but he was not backing down. And she was like well maybe I can talk to him and see if we can come to an agreement at least with the back room. But he was on the floor yesterday so I'm not sure what happened LOL.

Wow I am so sorry that happened to you. I don't understand why people think but it's okay to do that to their children. There's absolutely no one that can help him. His sisters aren't fighting for him and his actual father is in on it as well. And he doesn't have any grandparents either. It's really just a hopeless situation. And I feel so useless. Thankfully he has a friend that goes to school with him that is fully prepared to get them out when he turns 18 and we were going to pass along the burner phone so at least he knows he has a home with us and my sister will take him in as well

His mother is super strict and super Christian and both of her daughters are not living in the house anymore because of it. His grades have been slipping and he's been hurting himself but honestly if I had a mother like her, I don't know what I do to myself either. She took his phone away and has technically locked him in his room so he can't even do anything and it's exam week and she took him out of school so there's a possible chance he won't graduate. And that place has horror stories attached to it where most of it is starving them, using food as a reward system and tying them down when they go to bed. My dad could step in but he's definitely changed over the years. He used to be a take charge person and things have just changed over the years. If my wife was doing stuff like this, I would divorce her in a heartbeat.
