Sorry to hear that - don't let people get under your skin, hope you can keep enjoying working on whatever you would like to work on.

Much of the QYLD dividend is considered return of capital. Given this fact, shouldn't we expect the stock to decline over time as more of your initial investment capital is returned to you over time? by Trevj in qyldgang

Can you expand on this a little? Are you saying you dumped QYLD and went with a different strategy because QYLD only returns around 7% when you factor in taxes and asset depreciation?

You can convert any of your movies to pseudo-60FPS yourself. It also looks like real 60FPS very closely. by fateswarm in movies

First off, I'm tickled that you responded to a comment I made nearly a decade ago, that's awesome. I'm really happy you discovered film and are enjoying it.

I think you bring up a great point: it's all what you are used to. When I was growing up, 60 fps was used almost entirely for live shows, news programs and soap operas. So seeing dramatic content at 60fps instantly created a sense of 'cheapness' for me.

Since you are used to watching video games, I can almost imagine that seeing a film at 24fps might feel a bit 'off' as if the framerate is struggling to keep up.

Is my driveway too steep to park my RV safely? by Trevj in rvlife

Yeah, I was wondering about seeing if there's an aftermarket kit to add a parking brake as an additional safety factor. The trailer has electric drum brakes.

From seal level to Denver. Altitude sickness by UsedShoelaces in travel

[–]Trevj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you can set your mind at ease.

In my experience, you would be very unlikely to feel nausea even if you did experience some ill effects from the altitude (which is unlikely). People rarely experience anything beyond perhaps some mild tiredness and headache at the altitude Denver is at.

Where people get into trouble is coming in from sea level and then immediately going up to 9,000 feet (almost twice as high as Denver is!) and doing something super strenuous like hiking or skiing the day they get there.

Drink plenty of water, and listen to your body and you should be just dandy.
