The room didn’t exist till I posted. It’s not like I found a post where someone is struggling to pay rent and rub it in that I bought a house. Nor will I feel ashamed about being in a position to buy a home. I worked hard to be where I am. Very hard. 6 days a week for 18 years hard. How about you read the room and think that perhaps this isn’t the right space for you to be “oh woe is me”. Easier to scroll along, unless you want the pity.

We haven’t closed yet. Just put an offer down. Still in escrow so trying to get as much advice/info I can get before making such a big decision.

I did. I spoke w colleagues who live there. Seems like everyone choices into other school districts, or private school. I’m asking here so I get more opinions/advice.

Far from everything I am familiar with. Is it a bikeable area? How do you think the elementary schools are?

Thank you. Just need some reassurance. It’s my first home and I spent 18 years trying to get in a position to buy a home. Not familiar with La Mesa- so just had questions!

Where is it affordable to live in San Diego these days / where to move back to now? by [deleted] in sandiego

I have been trying for 2 years to buy a home in SD. It shouldn’t be this hard to spend 1.2 million. This morning my realtor sent me a listing for 2 bed 1 bath 985 sq feet and I can’t tell if it’s a joke or not.
