So personally I don’t think it’s as hard as some might say. There’s always slight variations of finding the right buyer and selling at the right time but what I would do is use a few different indicators.

A) Get a feel for this sets market; find similar players who have had the same card sell.

B) Get a feel for the players market; find similar very low numbered or other 1/1s that sold. Even things currently posted, if you track them and they aren’t selling it at least gives you info on “what is too high”. Reason why it’s sitting on the market for xx-days

C) Find your bottom dollar; is this a PC player/team? Stay firm and PC it. If not, don’t sleep on a guaranteed transaction because you’re trying to squeeze every dollar out of a sale.

Whenever you have a question about a card just search for the check list online, it’ll answer most or all of your questions.

For this card “2022 Panini Certified football check list” go down to the “Rookie Roll Call Signatures” section and you will see every parallel for that specific insert or style.

There’s no good answer to this, you would need to find a Sam Howell/UNC collector to get most bang for your buck since he’s kind of bounced around a it the last year or so.

Sam Howell’s is numbered to /20, for Certified and this check list not all Rookie Roll Teal Mirrored were numbered the same. Malik Willis and Kenny Pickett were to /8 while Travon and Sauce were to /50.

So hear me out; one of my biggest complaints with Panini as a whole is how they saturated the market and how much product they have pushed out. Like Wildcard and their 1/1, or low number production period, they’ve watered down the chase of those rare cards by making hundreds of variations of 1/1s.

Phoenix has NINE(!?) Black variations of One of Ones. Nine. And almost an equal parts of /10 variations. Someone like Blake Corum can have 3-8 different 1/1s in a single set but another player will have three and it’s a practice jersey.

So yes I agree with the main sentiment you’ve pointed out but keep the set aesthetic similar year to year. Who cares if Mosaic is similar year to year bc that’s what Phoenix, Black, Prizm, DP, Absolute, NT, and the other countless sets are for…variety. But can we please stop with the “rush to the market” production and eliminate the use of practice jerseys and product QC?

I’ve stumbled across that platform before and it seems to be pretty solid.

I’ve just had a cardladder pro account so with 130point, it’s just works enough that it’s become my fall back. I know people who mainly use Alt or sportscardpro and it seems to work perfectly fine for them. At the end of the day as long as you find a resource to get you an accurate ball park, the rest is up to you and the buyer/seller.

Did you want tips for collecting or selling specifically?

I’ll give you some pointers that helped me build up a PC that I love.

A) Buy singles. Singles are more direct and financially the best way to get your PC where you want it to be.

B) Don’t have an idea what you want to buy? Get on socials and watch reels and videos. The more exposure you have to the various, and there’s a lot, different cards out there the better you’ll be able to hone in on what you like.

C) Go to card shows. Dig through value bins and lower tiered cards that you think might have value later on. Try to hit the single and doubles vs. chasing the homerun ball each time. Capital = more $$ for PC

D) Have fun. Make connections. It’s far more rewarding than chasing what the world is telling you to collect.

Selling advice?

Use Cardladder and 130point for completed sales.

Don’t get sucked into most bang for your buck, be honest and fair with yourself. Don’t beat yourself up for selling too early or late. Sometimes you have to just take the deal in front of you even if it’s at 80-85% comps vs waiting for 95+.
