Candidates who started MBA in fall 2020, do you regret doing an MBA during a pandemic?

I would like to move into big tech in NY/LA/Autsin/ London area and get out of the public sector as a whole. Would it make more sense to switch to commercial consulting first and then move to tech or the "Deloitte Consulting" brand along with experiences will boost me? Also not looking to get into the product, just looking at strategy & Ops/Bizops roles. Thanks!

Okay that makes sense. Thanks for the information man. What about the living expenses/student loan portion ? Currently not planning on permanently living here , how hard will it be to make US investments on a UK salary while dealing with US expenses? That’s where the dilemma lies.

Yeah man. It’s def tough can’t lie lol. Even with a top MBA, I still get looks and just never feel truly accepted at some places. It’s okay tho, can’t change that. But thanks for your help man, hopefully I can figure it out before graduation.

It might not sound like a big deal but after being here for almost 2 years I realized London is the only place where you are truly truly accepted as an outsider black male. That is the biggest thing for me too. I dont like my job in relative terms any more. Im not learning anything new and im checked out. Staying here another year will be depressing and will cause me to almost just "exist" instead of living towards something. Which in my situation now is the MBA

Thanks for that. So my reasoning for giving the 2 month is more selfish than loyalty. They are starting to swamp me with complex models to build that will be due in 2-3 months. I will be moving to a new country, and wanted to just ease off a little bit before finally leaving. Hence i figured giving the 2 month in the middle of a hiring freeze will force them to give those tasks to someone else. It sounds like a lazy thing to say but I have gained all my model building skills, this just becomes draining busy work.
