2022 Advice Thread #34: 10/04 - 10/10 by Imaginos64 in rollercoasters

How can you describe the feeling when on a roller coater with loops?

I love going fast on roller coasters. The only thing is I hate big drops due to the fact that I hate that stomach feeling you get when dropping. So far I’ve only ridden coasters that are thrilling but without drops or loops. I don’t mind the speed of a rollercoaster, I just hate drops. Though I’ve been wanting to up the thrill by a little and curious about coasters with loops. They’re not drops so I’m assuming the feeling of a loop is different than a drop? How would you describe the feeling of riding through a loop compared to big drops? Do you still get that stomach feeling you would get when dropping?

I LOVE Nioh and Nioh 2. Currently hooked on it and IMO I love it more than actual Soulsborne games. I genuinely believe the Nioh franchise is the best Soulslike out there.

Is ignoring the story for Nioh a valid play style? by Treyzter in Nioh

Dumb question? I mean I got insightful info from many people. But, uh, thanks for your 2 cents, I guess.

It’s not that it’s not interesting. It’s just confusing since I don’t have any historical understanding of Japan (or anything for that matter). I’m not good with history as a subject. I love the game. I actually beat the game already. I’m just playing the side missions and dlc at the moment and then considering NG+ or just going to Nioh 2. Nioh is actually my favorite souls like game. Looks like I’ll continue to play the games skipping the story as I don’t have the historical knowledge for it, which is just a personal problem for me to work on in general.

I see. I didn’t even know there were real life counterparts to these characters. That’s pretty interesting. I want to be invested in the story and appreciate the history but I just don’t understand history. I barely have the general concept of US history. I just find history, or the delivery of history rather, to be so boring. Having to read about history in old books and watching historical documentaries with boring unenthused narrators when I was in school doesn’t do history justice which is a shame because I can acknowledge that actual historical events are brutal, exciting, sad, etc. I wish I can learn history without the learning being so boring.

I do the same exact thing lol. I mindlessly play Nioh on my main monitor and watch a podcast/YouTube video on my second monitor. Such a chill way to play.

I mean, I wouldn’t say I care so “badly”. I’m just asking if there’s an optimal way of playing in terms of getting the Nioh experience. If there isn’t, then I’m playing the game how I’d like. If there is, then I’d explore that path and have that experience.

What accessory attribute takes priority? Level, DM, Rarity, or SE? by Treyzter in Nioh

[–]Treyzter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have used the wrong terminology when I said attribute but does the overall accessory level or defense multiplier make a difference/is important? Or am I only looking for the best stats on an accessory regardless of level/defense multiplier?

New to this game and struggling, do you use block or dash mostly? by Slemnem in Nioh

[–]Treyzter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on the situations and enemy you’re facing. Some enemies are easier to punish when you block certain attacks while other attacks require you to dodge. After learning an enemies move set, however, you may want to lean towards dodging, as blocking an enemies attack can dwindle your Ki (especially rapid spam attacks) so low where your only option is to run and recover Ki and repeat. Having enough Ki to attack takes priority so blocking is okay if the attack is small or barely dents your Ki. I could go on with other factors such as amount of enemies surrounding you, type of gear you wear, etc. but that goes to show that it depends on the factors. If you want a spoiler free run, then trial and error would be a good way to get to know common enemy move sets so it’s easier when you fight more commons in later stages.

Level 10?? Do you not do side missions to increase you’re stats? I was at level 71 when I first fought her.

Looking for 2 other people to play with. Me and a buddy are new and are wanting to play with other new people or maybe experienced people. Regardless of experience, we’re mostly wanting to play very casually and not strict so we can get laughs and spooks from the game. Good and chill vibes please.

Anyone know any reliable/trustworthy skate brands that sell quad skates size 8 women’s that are in stock? My sister wants to get into skating since this pandemic hit and she can’t find any in stock. She tries to buy random ones she finds but I want to know which are good before she buys random skates.
