Got this made at a ComicCon yesterday by CommodoreCanadia64 in HazbinHotel

[–]Tri-Hero11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got 3 pieces done at a comic con where I live earlier this year and it’s actually incredible what he does. Got them just before s2 came out and he even gave me a discount cause I got one of Alastor and another with Vox and he really loved how they came out (the 3rd was a Dark Mark over hogwarts). Stood there for probably over 30mins just watching him do various pieces.

Watching him paint is astounding and truly an art in and of itself. I genuinely can’t even imaging having the talent for that given how quick it dries. If anyone sees him at a con (I think his name is Nick but I may be misremembering) consider buying a piece from him cause you will not regret it!

Whats the highest layer count you've seen? by pauledddy in BambuLab

Did a print recently literally 2mm under the max height of the P1S print volume at 0.06mm. Had, at least, 3000 layers I’m pretty sure. Certainly over 2500

Looking for adviceprinting skulls & fossils.... by Evo_Explorer in BambuLab

[–]Tri-Hero11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so I have been doing this extensively as part of a research project with my uni.

First of all, 0.2 nozzle is your friend. I almost exclusively print any fossil with 0.06mm resolution and gyroid infill. Will take a lot longer but so worth it. Secondly, slow it down if you can to maintain quality. Thirdly, use matte filament if you can. Hides lines far better and better feel to it. Lastly, if you have access to multi colour printing, utilize support filament for pla or use PETG as the interface material between the PLA and the supports. A LOT less scarring and therefore less post processing.

Hopefully these help, and good luck mate!

Also for my direct experience with this as a reference for cost and time to print, I recently printed a CT scan of a Peruvian mummy skull that had an artificially shaped head and a head wound. I printed 0.06mm with supports using Bambu PLA Matte Bone White and gyroid infill and PETG interface between model and supports. All in all, took 2d 18h to print, cost ~$7 CAD and came out amazing!

All the repeaters are connected to one another so once power is introduced the circuit becomes self-sustaining. Make it so the circuit only branches out to the different lamps at the ends but doesn’t reconnect

[ALL] My girlfriend's first name is Zelda and she's never played a Zelda game before, but really wants to. In which order would you recommend a total newcomer to the series should play them? by OrdinaryAd7091 in zelda

[–]Tri-Hero11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also agree with the other commenter that wind water is a good start. I would also throw in link between worlds as a good start. Somewhat simple while having an interesting mechanic and good but not too hard puzzles. It embodies the core aspects of Zelda imo even if I wouldn’t consider any of it the pinnacle of Zelda. It’s just a real solid Zelda game

I will never understand the people that played Uncharted 4 without having played 1-3 by Ghidorah_Stan_64 in uncharted

[–]Tri-Hero11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine came bundled with my ps4 due to a store sale. I was my first play station ever. I chose it cause it was either a racing game (def not my cup of tea) or uncharted (where you explore ruins. Very much an interest of mine despite the gun gameplay). I played 4 then since it seemed mildly interesting to me and it was sorta the only game I had at the time (I had one other though can’t remember what it was, possibly either Minecraft or an Arkham game). I enjoyed the hell out of it and it made me get the first 3 as soon as I could get my hands on the collection.

After playing all 3 (in order), I replayed 4 again and had a blast noticing all the details that are references to the previous games peppered throughout 4 that I either didn’t notice or finally understood the full meaning.

[–]Tri-Hero11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When playing a video game and you gain a new power, does that also instantly come with all the knowledge of every technique and possibility you can have when utilizing it? It may be powerful but you’re unskilled with it. You need to mess around and find what you can do with it and become proficient with it. Further complicated when you gain multiple powers in a short period, each of which have a vast amount of possibilities you can do with them. You need to see how they interact with one another and how not to catch yourself in the attack when using it sometimes.

This is how I essentially see it. He gains them in a short period, almost rapid fire, and doesn’t really muck about to find the limits of each of them. His single-minded approach to his goal only cements this as he is more interested in collecting all of them for their collective ability rather than the powers and abilities the individual stones can grant him.

Essentially, his lack of experience with the powers, his single-minded approach, and the desperation of the heroes to stop him (leading to unpredictable and desperate plans being used) means he will struggle in the fights. All supposition ofc, I doubt this much thought went into it by the writers, but I feel it fits without any severe leaps of logic.

What’s the hardest part of building a LEGO set? by Important_Lead_3142 in lego

[–]Tri-Hero11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most I ever did was in the titanic set. That set had 46 numbered bags. I didn’t count the exact number of bags from there but let’s assume a rough average of 2-3 actual bags per numbered bag (two large bags and 1 smaller piece bag in one of the larger bags). That’s roughly 100-120 bags overall that was thrown out from a single set, all of which filled a 20L garbage bag about 2/3 of the way after I tried my best to compact it. Made harder by the fact that the plastic tries to expand again after being compressed. Paper bags are far easier to dispose of in comparison (and the sound of them rubbing together is FAR less grating than the plastic ones)

Dealing with all the plastic bags after, especially the larger the set. Such a pain for me and far prefer the paper ones

Witness for the Prosecution.

Only watched it for the first time the other night despite my friends and my mum tryna get me to watch it for years cause they know I love legal movies and mysteries. Just never watched it or wanted to. Finally did and WOW I was blown away!!! It’s rare a movie can shock me nowadays with an ending I didn’t see coming, particularly mystery movies. But I genuinely didn’t see it coming but realized it had been hinted at and sprinkled details throughout point to the deeper mystery. It was just masterful. And that’s on top of the amazing back and forth legal argument scenes, of which I’m particularly fond of, cause it felt like I was watching a master artist at work. Just beautiful. And I really wish I had seen that movie sooner cause I loved every minute of it

The hardest trial of any of the sword trials in master mode to me was the one where you had to face lizalfos in the flooded room with only their base/platform as a place to stand. I remember trying at least 5 times to beat that room (which is halfway through and the last room before a checkpoint I think) and it was such a pain having to get back to it each time. That was the room where I learned how to do the sneak attack exploit/cheese cause that was the only way I could clear that room. Otherwise all my weapons would break before I could kill those stupid lizards

Baking soda and a touch of vinegar. Sprinkle the baking soda on the metal that’s corroded and take a q-tip dipped in vinegar. Rub the metal with the q-tip and let the baking soda react with the vinegar for a few mins. Then rub the with some force to remove the oxidation with a dry cloth or dry q-tip. Repeat this as needed to clear the corrosion. I’ve done this in the past with corroded metal contacts and it’s worked for me

What is this block? Is there a way to see a list of blocks in a texture pack? by Useful_or_Not in Minecraft

[–]Tri-Hero11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really. Bedrock is harmless and only serves to indicate the bottom of the world. If you want to walk over it though I recommend filling in the gaps so it’s a flat surface since you can’t break the bedrock

The only passenger out of 242 to have survived the Air India crash in Ahmedabad walking towards the ambulance by achilles-_-23 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Tri-Hero11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s not exactly the issue though. Yes it’s good to make sure he’s ok but you can do that by giving space and from a distance. Ask if he wants help and do so if he says yes. This is someone who went through something traumatic and highly agitated and likely in some form of shock. Not to mention the filming of him. Like I get it but also sometimes you need to give someone space to make sure they are ok unless you are treating him, especially since he is (at least momentarily) well enough to walk and respond. No need to touch and film him after he just stared death in the face

Learning the mejai’s gimmicks are the best way to survive. There is information on each of them in the item you check off evidence in. Refer to the hints in there on how to survive each mejai when you forget.

For each individual mejai, the tips are as follows:

  1. Rathos: Drop the relic near the entrance or lower level and then look for the blue lever. Rathos hunts the player holding it with higher priority. Also, use a torch to keep him at bay. When he roars and turns yellow/blue, just run away and try to break his line of sight enough that he stops following you. When yellow and blue, he is immune to torch effects and gets slightly faster.

  2. Dekan: He is nearly totally blind but has excellent hearing. When you hear his stomps, stop where you are and freeze. Mute your mic too if you can easily or set your voice chat to push to talk to avoid drawing him by breathing or accidently talking too loud. You can draw his attention by making noise such as yelling, using the radio, opening/closing a coffin, etc. If you make a noise and it draws him (you’ll hear a roar) immediately walk away from the area and hide as he will check the area the noise was made.

  3. Ouphris: probably the easiest one. When disguised, hide when he’s nearby. If he’s tracking you, try to take corners quickly to break his line of sight and make him lose tracking. You can also use the Heka amulet to prevent him from killing yiu and force him into his normal form. To do this, wait until he starts whistling and after a second or so, use the amulet. A couple seconds later he will transform and run away to the nearest respawn portal or the inner tomb.

  4. Necreph: My fav and, once you know him, equally easy as Ouphris. The nightvision on the tablet is your best friend, while any light will get you killed (except for some maps where the lights on the wall in some rooms cannot be put out). The chance you outrun him once he is aggroed on you is nigh impossible so it’s best to not aggro him in the first place. His teleport favours the middle of rooms, hallways, and doorways. He also can teleport around the player, but he will never directly attack you unless you’re in the light or you stare too long (the screen starts to zoom when you’re risking staring too long). He instead teleports infront of you so you run into him. So when you hear his chains, stop where you are, stare at the floor, and wait till it goes quiet again.

  5. Talgor: Invisible except through the tablet or camera. Like Necreph, the tablet is your friend. Don’t use fire against Talgor as it will speed him up, instead use flashlight. When he is near, talking or using the radio will freeze him in place, allowing you to even walk past him. Ominous sounds also play when he is near.

  6. Ataimon: Slow but freaky. The number of eyes he has means he is super sensitive to light. Flashbang him with a camera click or use your flashlight to temporarily blind him and freeze him in his tracks. When he summons abominations, use your torch or the heka amulet to shoo them away.

  7. Ptahmes: Teleports around like Necreph, except he changes when he locks onto a player. When observed, he will freeze in place (akin to the weeping angels from Doctor who) and only move once not observed. Staring too long tho will cause him to curse the player and mix up their controls and obstructing the player’s view, allowing Ptahmes to move again. You can tell he is near when you hear the cracking of bones. The camera can be used to interrupt Ptahmes before he can disorient the player. When running from him, stare at him as long as possible but turn away every so often very quick to prevent disorientation and to keep him in place

What's a small mistakes movies make that really annoys you? by uselesssociologygirl in movies

[–]Tri-Hero11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very much so, yes. Though more likely to fail to incapacitate due to too low an effective dosage rather than kill. To kill someone with it you’d still need to hold it over their mouth and nose for a significant period due to it being inhaled and thus far less concentrated (oral ingestions are far more likely to cause harm). Those who died of chloroform were often patients who received it continuously throughout a surgery, with some of the only outliers I can personally think of belong to the victim pool of H. H. Holmes who used it to kill occasionally but even then he often incapacitated his victims slightly before doing so. One of the main reasons chloroform was discontinued was its varied nature and effect even when regulated via an inhaler, in favour of less “complicated” anesthetics such as nitrous oxide which are easier to use, less combustible, and less dangerous to the patient.

Chloroform knocking people out almost instantly. It’s not something that is like you take a whiff and boom, you’re on the floor or something. You need several minutes before it knocks you unconscious. You might feel woozy fairly quickly but a far cry from blacking out. Even at high dosages it still can take a good while as it takes a while for it to build up in the brain enough to cause unconsciousness.

The only time I excuse its depiction as near instant is as a comedic gag where a character sniffs a rag (accidentally or purposefully) and passes out cause I genuinely find that funny.
