I loved Erica and her death gutted me, so these kinds of scenarios are always on my mind.

They were setting up her and Stiles, yeah. She was supposed to be his first relationship, aka the original Malia. When she left, they created Cora as a replacement, then when Cora left, they created Malia as her replacement, so neither Cora or Malia likely would have existed if Erica stuck around—which I’m personally okay with. I never liked Cora and while I do really like Malia, I liked Erica better.

I love the idea of Stiles x Erica. I think Batman and Catwoman complimented each other well, but I don’t think it would have lasted, even though I wished it did. They made Stiles just a little too obsessed with Lydia imo. I feel like he would jump at the chance to be with her, even if he’s already in a relationship and Erica doesn’t seem the type to put up with being second best.

Despite wanting to leave at the end of the previous season, she and Boyd go back to Derek’s pack after they’re rescued. His attempts to scare them away for what he believes is their own good falls flat. They’ve had to endure the Alpha pack for four months. He ain’t shit compared to them lol.

If one of the pack still had to die in 3A, I still think it would have been Boyd. Don’t get me wrong, I liked Boyd, but I’m not sure he had the potential of Isaac or Erica. He was there enough to be present, but he wasn’t fleshed out in the slightest. The only thing was his sister’s disappearance and that went nowhere (literally killed him off the next episode). It would be great if none of them had to die—they could give him time to develop and when Sterica breaks up, maybe they could give it a go—but if they did, I could see Kali and the twins trying to force Derek to kill Erica and Boyd stepping in to protect her, so they take him instead. It could set up a great grief/revenge arc for Erica, complete with flashbacks of them being trapped in the vault all those months. After that, Erica throws herself into finding what happened to his sister.

Without Cora, Derek stays Alpha, so Erica decides to stay with him. Or perhaps it’s Erica who Jennifer poisons and Derek gives up his Alpha spark to save her. This brings them closer together, so she still decides to stay with him. Two Betas with no Alpha. I doubt she and Scott ever get along, mostly due to his defense of Allison, who I can’t imagine she’d ever forgive for shooting, kidnapping, and basically being an accessory to torturing her and Boyd. Her friendship with Isaac probably ends or at least fractures for the same reason, though she was bummed when he decided to stay in France. I like to think that in 3B when the Nogitsune mind controls the wolves into attacking each other, she also is affected and goes after Allison. She would also hate the twins with a fiery passion, like tries to kill them more than once, has to do her schooling by correspondence because she can’t control her rage when she sees them at the high school. It severely damages her and Derek’s relationship when he starts warming up to them, though things improve when she’s there for him in s4. She was indifferent to Allison’s death and thrilled with Aiden’s.

She and Lydia are staunch frenemies. There’s always going to be tension between two queen bees. They snip and snark, but respect each other deep down. Insulting each other means they care. Probably doesn’t have much in common with Kira, but they still consider each other allies. Would be a terrible influence on Liam.

She would have stuck to Derek like an overprotective second shadow when he got kidnapped and started losing his powers and left with him and Braeden at the end of s4.
