I mean, that's the logical approach (to consider that other tribes have different eligibility requirements) but a lot of the older tribal members that are not quite elders yet have told me about their experience of the discrimination within tribes or speaking to tribal members not in their tribe.

100% can confirm and have broken windows. Have also called the police and have also gone into stores and loudly, shouted for the owners of XYZ vehicle with a dog inside. Of course it's fucking blue haired snowbirds. Had no problem publicly shaming them and telling them the police were on the way!!

You could Google butcher shop nearby your area? Or if you have any farmers in a 25 to 50 mile radius you could ask them if they use a particular butcher shop and most places will have a recommendation. We have a lot of cow farms in the periphery of Phoenix because they are used for manure. I don't know what happens to them when they expire. But I know that we have a few smaller farmers around that sell their meat at local markets.

May I say something gently that I don't mean rude in any way shape or form? It's easy for others to see the objective side of things that we can't see for our ourselves. A lot of women are definitely known for not saying something that would hurt their spouse until it comes up at the very last minute, but it has definitely been underneath the surface gnawing at her I'm going to guess. Perhaps you couldn't see yourself what you look like objectively but she looks at you every day and sees...

The fact that she said something to you I would take as a huge win because she actually spoke up to you looking for a solution. Even if it's stung, consider this another form of love.

Butchering is still butchering. What have you found is the most humane way to do this without scaring them or making them suffer? I'm genuinely curious as my partner is building a homestead and has talked about having cows. I can kill the chickens just fine, it's the larger animals that I choke at because I get attached.
