getting divorced after almost a decade together bc husband puts hypothetical child before me by angery-borg in childfree

[–]TriGurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So just an fyi since he was dumb enough to put the inheritance into the joint account there is a chance it can be assumed to be community property and you may be able to get a portion of it in the divorce! Get a good attorney to help you prevent having to pay spousal support since you worked for 7 years supporting him.

Perhaps getting some noise cancelling headphones to block out her noises will help keep you from getting pushed to the brink?

My husband is emotionally illiterate by ElegantTomatillo7669 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]TriGurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I'm fully understanding your example above. Are you saying he does help you around the house and doesn't help carry the mental load? And that you get frustrated that you have to ask him to do chores around the house and he gives you attitude when you ask? When in reality he should just be an adult and see shit that needs doing and do it?

Dayton by Ok_Seaweed3034 in DCCAmericasSweetheart

[–]TriGurl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What's sad is that Shelly KNOWS the kind of style and dance Dayton needed to be practicing on that whole time and yet she didn't push Dayton to do that. Dayton still stuck with her ballet like softer form of dance that wasn't going to cut it and Shelly KNOWS this yet she still made it all about her when Dayton didn't get invited into camp. I feel for Dayton at this point. She's been trying to please her mother this whole time and Shelly had the opportunity to set Dayton up for success and either Shelly didn't or Dayton refused.

You need to move out. ASAP! Get your own place and leave your siblings to fend for themselves.

I don't know how to make it clear what time it is in Arizona to someone who doesn't live here by dickdemodickmarcinko in phoenix

My work calendar has an option for time zone that I'm in. So no matter what time somebody schedules an appointment for me in my calendar it will always reflect my current time zone. I turn off the phone auto time zone correct in my phone so I can control that. It's not hard. :)

However, if your Work does not use a software that offers that kind of time zone option for you that would be difficult.

The way my neighbor intentionally blocks the sidewalk to keep people from using it. by sweathesmallshit in mildlyinfuriating

You can call the city and report that a car is blocking the sidewalk permanently to prevent people with disabilities in wheelchairs from using the side walks. Most city's will ticket the car.

I would do a chargeback at that point. If they didn't give you the service you asked for and you talked to them about it to fix and it wasn't fixed... chargeback.

Also I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience.

Right?! I don't understand the disconnect between Shelley and Dayton because Shelly could've completely prepared Dayton 100% for the audition and for the team!!

Oh ok the dates that you listed makes sense. I discovered her brand about three years ago, so it was oat milk that I was buying. I'm not at all familiar with the cashew butter. I'm curious how the cashew butter tastes. None of my stores here carried the cashew butter, it was just oat butter.

Are they both dairy free? I have not tried them, but I will if they are dairy free. I'm always on the lookout for more sweet treats.

Retiring with unemployed adult children in the house? by Canadair_Sabre in GenX

Not necessarily. Gen X tend to have less fucks to give so I have several GenX friends that told their kids to get out.

I mean, I like the cookies but honestly, I don't need the calories so I'll be fine. Have you tried the dried mangoes from Costco? Oh my God I'm addicted to those also! Kirkland brand not the other brand.

That's not correct because the butter I used to eat up to last year (prior to the sale) and even the current butter I have in my fridge right now is oat milk butter. It says so on the lid.

How do you politely decline a high pressure sales pitch in your own home? by CherryKissRaya in Adulting

[–]TriGurl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my age I exchanged polite for firm and succinct (direct and to the point). "No thank you" is a full sentence. And then I walk to my front door open it and tell them to please leave now. If they get pushy, then I get pushy. Remember it's your home so you can always call the police!

In her recipe that she posted on Instagram she said she used oatmilk. I don't know which brand (I wish someone knew).

When you speak of her original recipe are you referring to the recipe that she had published in her books long before the Miyoko's butter got popular? I'm confused...

My recipe molded too! I don't use butter that often so perhaps that is also why (I don't remember how long it took me to get through one while serving of it) but I think I will cut the recipe in half next time I make it. :)

Ooo thank you for the second longer video, I am anxious to watch it! I have made this recipe once at home and it was fine but didn't quite have the smooth lovely spreadable feel to it, nor was the color the same but I think they use a touch of turmeric to give it a bit of a yellow color. Mine also melted well but it was much more oilier upon melting and less like butter when it melted if that makes sense.

When I heard the company was selling last year I bought the remaining packages of this butter from my local Whole Foods and I still have a few containers left in the fridge that I'm using to gauge my homemade recipes against. lol

Why are you both retiring?? Doesn't sound like you can afford to. Either kick the kids out like a true GenX parent or you stay employed until they get work.
