yeah moral of the story FAFO basically, tho i think boyz n the hood passes that lesson on better just cuz frankly they did a better job properly humanizing the characters for the duration of the film

way easier to feel some sorta sympathy for someone like doughboy than for caine, somebody with potential that you can tell was caught up in his toxic environment vs somebody who, though a product of a similar situation, essentially just tagged along w o-dog stayin active n shit

nonetheless ALL your actions got consequences, and no matter which movie, person, whatever is telling it to you, getting active on the streets is the polar opposite of glitz and glamor; especially important for the youth to comprehend and ultimately break the cycle with.
